Harriet and Susan were housemaids. Their father died in 1868 so I guess the girls went into service and their mother took in lodgers.5 In the census of 3 April 1881 in Mulford Bridge, Oulton, Suffolk, England, she was listed as the servant of William and Eliza Everitt.
