She was baptised on 23 September 1866 in Winestead, Yorkshire, England, her father was a farm labourer and the family lived in Sancton. Eliza was received into the church on 21 October 1866.2 Eliza died in 1866 in Pocklington, Yorkshire, England.3

Mary Elizabeth Tremblett1,2,3

     Mary Elizabeth Tremblett was born in 1917.2 She married Alfred Adrian Ferris, son of William Ferris and Sarah Ballard.2 Her husband Alfred died on 4 December 1993 aged 78.4 Alfred and Mary are buried under the same stone.2 Mary died on 14 September 2007 Mary was described as a loving mother of Marilyn Walsh (Paul), Terry, and Rosemary Warden (Larry). Nana was deeply loved and admired by her nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Mary retired from St. Joseph's Hospital after many years of service. She was a former member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Hamilton and more recently a member of Our Lady of the Scapular Catholic Church in Niagara Falls. Mary was an avid gardener and recipient of Trillium Awards; avid card player and baker, and enjoyed her many friends and caregivers.1,2 She was buried after a funeral mass was celebrated at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 128 Edgemont Street South (at King St. East), Hamilton on Wednesday 19 September 2007. She was interred at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington.1
