Both Joseph and Mary were widowed and their residence at the time of marriage was 11 Wood Street, St Ebbe, Oxford. Joseph was working as a railway engineer. The ceremony was witnessed by John Garriton and Hannah Penn. Interestingly Mary, although a widow, her father was listed as William Mead.1,2,3

     George Greathead was born in 1740.2 He married Elizabeth I'Anson on 23 August 1763 in Spennithorne, Yorkshire, England.3,4 George left a will on 26 November 1817.5 George died in 1820.1 The will of George was proved on 29 April 1820 The will leaves items to his four children George, Robert, Christopher and Elizabeth who was the wife of James Stott. They were all to receive equal shares in his estate provided George paid Robert £120 debt owed to him.5,6
