Margaret Jane Truefitt née Corner
     Jane Foster was born about 1831 in Rounton, Northallerton, Yorkshire, England.2,3 She married William Truefitt, son of William Truefitt and Sarah ..., on 16 August 1856 in St Hilda, Middlesbrough, Yorkshire, England.4,3 Jane was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1871 in 56 Stoviner Street, Ormesby, Yorkshire, England, Jane was listed as a sailors wife living with her children.5 In the census of 3 April 1881 in Kings Road, Ormesby, Yorkshire, England, she was listed as the wife of William Truefitt.6 Jane was listed as the head of the family of on the census of 5 April 1891 in Kings Road, Ormesby, Yorkshire, England, Jane was living with some of her children, her husband was at sea.7 Jane was listed as head of household in the census of 31 March 1901 in Hurley Villa, Ormesby, Yorkshire, England, although she was enumerated as wife. Her husband William was a Master Mariner on board SS Sixty Six which was off Gravesend in Kent.8 In the census of 2 April 1911 in 9 Woodlands Terrace, Redcar, Yorkshire, England, he was listed as the father in law of George Edward Usher.9 Captain and Mrs Truefitt celebrated 65 years of marriage. Of their ten children, three sons and four daughters survived to see his celebration. They also had 25 grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.3 Jane died in 1922 in Guisborough, Yorkshire, England.10

     Ellen Johnson was born in Biddulph, Staffordshire, England.1 Herbert was a blastfurnaceman and went to work in the ironworks in Biddulph where he was billeted with Nellys family.1 She married Herbert Berry, son of Jane Ellen Berry, in 1919 in Leek, Staffordshire, England, They later moved to Stillington and then Gainford in 1936 where they ran a market garden.1,2
