     William Garthwaite married Mary Greathead, daughter of Bartholomew Greathead and Mary Dawson, on 14 May 1818 in Marrick, Yorkshire, England, after the banns had been read on 29 April, 6 and 13 May. The ceremony was witnessed by Bartholomew Greathead and William Appleton who signed with his mark.1

Blanche Lidia Dewar1

     Blanche Lidia Dewar was born in 1884 in St Pancras, London, England.1,2 She was the daughter of George Dewar and Thirza Bowers Winters.3,4 She married William Augustus Henry Greathead, son of Walter George Greathead and Amelia Eliza Booth, on 29 April 1906 in St Mary the Virgin, Walthamstow, Essex, England, C I Watkins married them after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by Sid Dewar and Lucy Dewar. Both bride and groom gave their address as 24 Brunswick Street. William was a carman.5,6 Her husband William died on 19 November 1912 in Ham Asylum, Wentworth, Ontario, Canada, aged 29 William was described as a labourer and married at the time of his death from epilepsy. He was admitted into Ham Asylum on 17 October and died from exhaustion a few weeks later.7 Blanche died in August 1970 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.4
