Myrtle Follett was born about 1876 in Iowa, USA, Her father Charles was born in Maine and her mother Ellen Hughes was born in Iowa.1,2 She married Enoch Wilder.2 Her husband Enoch died.2 She married Thomas Greathead, son of William Edward Greathead and Mary Ann Davis, on 18 April 1919 after a licence was issued.1,2,3 An unknown person was listed as the head of the family on the census of 5 January 1920 in Wadena, Fayette County, Iowa, USA, Thomas is described as a general farmer and is living with Myrtle.4 Her husband Thomas died on 28 August 1927 in USA aged 62 He was a Republican, but was not interested in politics to any great extent. He was a man well thought of by his neighbours, having always led a quiet, honourable life and tended strictly to his own affairs.1,2 In the census of 2 April 1930 in Fayette County, Iowa, USA, she was listed as the mother in law of Lawrence Fennell.5 Myrtle died on 15 March 1936 in Wadena, Fayette County, Iowa, USA, at the home of her daughter and son in law.2 Myrtle was buried on 17 March 1936 in Dunham Grove Cemetery, Fayette County, Iowa, USA, after a funeral service at the Lima Church.6

William Gransbury was born in 1851 in Easington, Durham, England.2,3 He was the son of John Gransbury and Mary Bakewell or Hall. In the census of 5 April 1891 in Waldridge, Chester le Street, Durham, England, he was listed as the son of Mary Gransbury William was a coal miner.4 He married Alice Ann Greathead, daughter of Mark Greathead and Elizabeth Lumley, in 1896 in Chester le Street, Durham, England.1 William was listed as head of household in the census of 31 March 1901 in Low Row, Waldridge, Chester le Street, Durham, England, William was a coal miner, a hewer. Alice's brother Anthony was visiting them. William's widowed older brother John was lving with them, he had sadly lost a leg down the mine.5 William died in 1903 in Chester le Street, Durham, England.2,6
