Leonard Greathead was born on 20 October 1894 in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England.1,2,3,4 He was the son of Frederick Greathead and Rose Wain Rayner. The family lived in Church Street.7 In the census of 31 March 1901 in 237 Park Road, Conisbrough, Yorkshire, England, he was listed as the son of John Edward Greathead.8 He married Clare Elsie Booth on 24 August 1910 in St Peter's, Conisbrough, Yorkshire, England.3,2,9,10,11 Oliver was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1911 in 63 Park Road, Conisbrough, Yorkshire, England, Oliver was a joiner to builders living with his wife in their six roomed home.12 Oliver signed up for short service in Dec 1915 giving his address as 31 Willow Dene, Conisbro. He was 28 years 4 months old. His height was five foot seven inches tall, he weighed 132 lbs, his chest measurement was 36 inches. She married John Edward Greathead, son of Oliver Greathead and Clare Elsie Booth, on 25 April 1935 in Hemsworth, Yorkshire, England, Hemsworth Jun 1935 9C-473.4,2,5 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Florence was listed as living at 2 Holywell Lane, Conisbrough, Yorkshire, England, with her husband John. And their son John. John was a carpenter and undertaker.6 Her husband John died on 23 July 1976 in 20 Church Street, Conisbrough, Yorkshire, England, aged 65.4,2,7,8 Florence died on 19 June 1986 in 20 Church Street, Conisbrough, Doncaster, Yorkshire, England, aged 74.4,2,9,10 The will of Florence was proved on 9 December 1986 in Leeds. Her effects were valued at £62,280.10
