     Francis Brockett was born in 1839 in Whitby, Yorkshire, England.1,2 He was the son of John Brockett and Susannah Shadforth.1 In the census of 7 June 1841 in Kiln Yard, Whitby, Yorkshire, England, he was listed as the son of John Brockett.3 He married Hannah Galleway in 1866 in Whitby, Yorkshire, England.1,4 Francis was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1871 in Newholm, Yorkshire, England, Francis was a Master Mariner living with his wife and son Robert who was just three weeks old. His mother Susanna was with them as was a Nurse called Hannah Galloway, possibly related to Hannah his wife, she was listed as aged 34.5 His wife Hannah died on 1872 in Whitby, Yorkshire, England.6 He married Mary Ann Tindale in 1873 in Kings Lynn, Norfolk, England.7 Francis died in 1914 in Whitby, Yorkshire, England, around the same time as his wife. He was a trader.
