The banns were read three times in the Parish Church of St Cuthbert's Rev Charles I Simpson the Minister for York married the couple. Margaret was described as the daughter of the late Richard Greathead formerly of Killivinney in Ayrshire.4,5 Her husband David died on before 1900.1 Margaret died on 24 June 1900 in Wigtownshire Workhouse, Wigtown, Stranraer, Wigtownshire, Scotland, from chronic ulcers of the left leg for 13 years.6
