Mary Ann Dunckley

Chart 21 - Joseph Greathead
     Mary Ann Dunckley was born about 1829.1 She was the daughter of Peter Dunckley. She married Joseph Greathead, son of William Greathead and Ann Sherriff, on 2 May 1853 in St Martin, Leicester, Leicestershire, England, after a licence had been issued. The ceremony was witnessed by William and Maria King. Maria signed with her mark X. Joseph gave his address as Church Gate and worked as a blacksmith. Mary Ann gave her address as Walcote. Both declared they were of full age.2 Mary died on 6 December 1855 in Lutterworth, Leicestershire, England, There was an inquest held in Red Lion, Walcote on 8 December on Mary's body as she had been found dead in bed about 9 o'clock on the Tuesday morning. The Doctor calle, Dr Bond said he had previously been called out to attend Mary when she had a fit, he had no doubt she had died in a similar one and that it was occassioned by disease of the heart.3,1

In the census of 19 June 1921 in 34 Bosworth Street, Leicester, Leicestershire, England, he was listed as the son of Alfred Waterfield.3 On 2 September 1939 in the National Register Harold Waterfield was listed as living at 294 Humberstone Road, Leicester, Leicestershire, England, with his parents Harold was a rubber pressman.4 He married Jean Beatrice Coulton in 1942 in Leicester, Leicestershire, England.5 Harold died in December 1984 in Leicester, Leicestershire, England, aged 73.6
