Arthur emigrated on 2 October 1947 from 42 Belgrave Road, London, England, from Tilbury, London to Sydney in Australia aboard SS Stratheden, arriving on 28 October 1947. He gave 42 Belgrave Road, SW1 as his home address.3 He married Marjorie Gladys Cobb in 1950 in Randwick, New South Wales, Australia.4 Arthur died on 20 December 2005 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, aged 79 The Sydney Morning Herald Thursday, 22 December 2005 stated Greathead, Arthur Albert. Passed away peacefully on December 20, 2005. Loving father of Frank and Lisa, and Jill and David. Adored Grandad of Jenny, Laura, and Megan (deceased). Sadly missed by his sister Doris in London. Aged 79 years. Never forgotten. Arthur's friends and relatives are invited to attend his funeral service to be held at Rookwood Crematorium East Chapel, Centenary Drive, Lidcombe, on Friday (December 23, 2005), commencing at 3.45 p.m. Simplicity City Funerals An Australian Company Newtown 9557 2777 A.F.D.A. Member.5 Arthur was buried in Springwood Cemetery, Springwood, New South Wales, Australia, the stone reads: At rest in his beloved Blue Mountains.2
