Eliza Wilson1

     Eliza Wilson was born on 8 March 1820 in Thirsk, Yorkshire, England.1 She was the daughter of Robert Thomas Wilson and Elizabeth Dales.1 She married William Henry Lamb, son of Charles Lamb and Margaret Elliot, on 21 December 1839 in All Saints, Ingelby Arncliffe, Yorkshire, England, Their marriage was witnessed by William Spark and Mary Glover.1,2 William, Eliza and their six children travelled on the ship "Golconda" which left Liverpool on 30 January 1854 and arrived in New Orleans on Saturday 18 March 1854. Little Marintha had died in 1853. William and his family were converted by Mormon missionaries into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They travelled with Captain Kearnes' ox-train and eventually settled in Wales in Utah.1 In the census of 1 June 1860 in Nephi, Juah, Utah, USA, she was listed as the wife of William Henry Lamb.3 Eliza died on 13 May 1899 in Wales, Sanpete County, Utah, USA, aged 79.1 Alfred is buried close to his parents, William and Eliza. Their grave stones can be seen on the picture.1

     Robert Thomas Wilson was baptised on 20 August 1787 in Duglebury, Old Malton, Yorkshire, England.1 He married Elizabeth Dales on 8 July 1811 in Bridlington, Yorkshire, England, They had eight children, William 1812-1878, Mary Ann 1813-1895, Richard 1816-1851, Eliza 1820-1851 who went on to marry William Henry Lamb, Robert 1822-1888, Alice 1825-1904, John 1828-1906 and Mercy 1929-1921.1 Robert died on 26 February 1853 in Darlington, Durham, England, aged 65.1,2

     Elizabeth Dales was born on 2 February 1791 in Skipsea, Yorkshire, England.1 She was baptised on 13 October 1791 in Skipsea, Yorkshire, England.1 She married Robert Thomas Wilson on 8 July 1811 in Bridlington, Yorkshire, England, They had eight children, William 1812-1878, Mary Ann 1813-1895, Richard 1816-1851, Eliza 1820-1851 who went on to marry William Henry Lamb, Robert 1822-1888, Alice 1825-1904, John 1828-1906 and Mercy 1929-1921.1 Her husband Robert died on 26 February 1853 in Darlington, Durham, England, aged 65.1,2 Elizabeth died on 10 February 1870 in Nephi, Juab, Utah, USA, aged 79.1

Henry Charles Lamb1

     Henry Charles Lamb was born on 14 June 1843 in Hutton Henry, Easington, Durham, England.1,2 He was the son of William Henry Lamb and Eliza Wilson.1 William, Eliza and their six children travelled on the ship "Golconda" which left Liverpool on 30 January 1854 and arrived in New Orleans on Saturday 18 March 1854. Little Marintha had died in 1853. William and his family were converted by Mormon missionaries into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They travelled with Captain Kearnes' ox-train and eventually settled in Wales in Utah.1 William, Elizabeth and their children moved to Monroe, Sevier County and secured a good herd of cattle. The following year the Indians attacked them and they lost all except two cows and a grey mare. By 1869 the family had moved to Wales and had 200 acres of land. He took an active part in the Black Hawk war, being an Adjutant of his company at Monroe.1 In the census of 1 June 1860 in Nephi, Juah, Utah, USA, he was listed as the son of William Henry Lamb.3 He married Elizabeth Price, daughter of John Price and Rachel Jones, on 15 March 1866 in Wales, Sanpete County, Utah, USA, Elizabeth's parents were one of the frst settlers of Wales.1 Henry was listed as the head of the family on the census of 10 June 1880 in Wales, Sanpete County, Utah, USA, Henry was listed as Charles and a farmer living with his wife and children.4 Henry died on 17 May 1910 in Wales, Sanpete County, Utah, USA, aged 66 Henry had been a postmaster in 1887, farmer and stockraiser.1 Henry was buried in May 1910 in Wales, Sanpete County, Utah, USA.1

     Elisha Stevens was born about 1846 in Illinois, USA.2 He married Mercy Agnes Lamb, daughter of William Henry Lamb and Eliza Wilson, about 1869.1 Elisha was listed as the head of the family on the census of 20 June 1870 in Shonesbrough, Kane, Utah, USA, Elisha was a day labourer and Mercy kept house.3 Elisha was listed as the head of the family on the census of 10 June 1880 in Wales, Sanpete County, Utah, USA, Elisha was a farmerr living with his wife, sister in law and a boarder.4 His wife Mercy died on 5 March 1885 aged 36.1
