In the census of 2 April 1911 in 14 Rodwell Street, Trimdon Foundry, Easington, Durham, England, he was listed as the son of Thomas Greathead.3 In the census of 19 June 1921 in 32 Cuthbertson Street, Trimdon Station, Wingate, Durham, England, he was listed as the son of Thomas Greathead.4 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register William was listed as living at 16 Beech Grove, Easington, Durham, England, with his brother George William was a coal mine datal work working below ground.5 He married Dorothy Ann Ritchie in 1940 in Durham, England.6 William died on 16 April 1997 in 8 Sycamore Crescent, Trimdon Station, Sedgefield, Durham, England, aged 87.7,8,9 Administration papers were issued with a will on 28 July 2005 to Dorothy his wife at Newcastle upon Tyne.9

He was baptised on 22 April 1903 in All Saints, Chorlton upon Medlock, Manchester, Lancashire, England, his father was a packer and lived at 1 Back Grosvenor Street.3 Robert joined St Philips Free School in Hulme on 8 July 1907. His address was given as 27 Durham Place.2 In the census of 2 April 1911 in 46 Canning Street, Hulme, Manchester, Lancashire, England, he was listed as the son of Robert Greathead he was in school.4 Robert was listed as head of household in the census of 19 June 1921 in 118 Croydon Road, Caterham, Surrey, England, Robert was a Guardsman in the foot guards.5 He married Evelyn Kate Smithers, daughter of Henry Smithers, on 11 July 1925 in Romford Register Office, Romford, Essex, England, after a licence was issued. The ceremony was witnessed by C Morten Coleman and W R Bird. Robert was a Police Constable and gave his address as 52 Western Road, Romford, while Evelyn said she was a domestic servant living in High Street, Cowden, Kent.6 He witnessed the marriage of Edward Willson and Jean Sylvia Greathead on 11 February 1950 in Emmanuel Church, West Ham, London, England.7 Robert died on 2 June 1966 in Pembury Hospital, Tonbridge, Kent, England, aged 63 His usual address was 95 Moreton Road, Shelley, Ongar, Essex.8,9 Robert did not leave a will. Administration papers were issued on 2 September 1966 in London to his widow Eveline. His effects were valued at £861.9

In the census of 2 April 1871 in Townsend, Norfolk County, Ontario, Canada, she was listed as the daughter of Joseph Greathead.3,4 She married Frederick Longe, son of Joseph Jean Longe and Christina Plant, on 17 August 1886 in Bruce County, Ontario, Canada, The Roman Catholic ceremony was witnessed by Peter Hoster from Southampton and Nellie George from Port Elgin after a license was issued. Frederick was described as a sailor.5,2 Millicent died on 26 October 1890 in Canada aged 24 from typhoid aged 24. Her gravestone reads:
