Henry was a wine merchant and a bachelor, his effects were valued at under £600.1

     Hester Chinn was born in 1804 in Leamington Priors, Warwickshire, England.1 She was the daughter of William Chinn and Mary ...2 She was baptised on 18 April 1804 in Solihull, Warwickshire, England.2 She married John Greathead on 5 March 1829 in Solihull, Warwickshire, England, after the banns had been read on 1, 8 and 15 February. The ceremony was witnessed by William Greathead, Ann Chinn and Ellen Bradbury.3,4,5 In the census of 6 June 1841 in Umberslade, Tanworth, Warwickshire, England, she was listed as the servant of Bolton King a man of independent means.6 In the census of 30 March 1851 at Coxtell Hall, West Derby, Lancashire, England, she was listed as a servant Hester was working as a nurse and her daughter Mary was also working at the Hall as a ladies maid.7 Hester was listed as the head of the family of on the census of 7 April 1861 in 13 Grove Street, Leamington Priors, Warwickshire, England, Esther was a lodging house keeper. Her son Henry and nephew John Hawley were staying in the house.8 Her son Henry died on 21 April 1861 aged 30.3,9 She received probate on her son's effects. She was a listed as a widow.3 An unknown person was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1871 in 13 Grove Street, Leamington Priors, Warwickshire, England, Esther was a lodging house keeper she also had Catherine her niece who was a general servant living with her.10 She died on 17 December 1879 in 256 Old Ford Road, Bethnal Green, London, England, from General Paralysis. I know of no reason why she had moved to London.11 Hester was buried on 22 December 1879 in Leamington Priors, Warwickshire, England.12
