Mervyn and Monica were engaged, married and divorced within one calendar year. There were no children from the marriage.1 She married Walter Bergman.1,2 Monica died on 20 June 2007 in Western Cape, South Africa.2

     Ann Kilburn was born about 1773.2 She married Matthew Greathead, son of John Greathead and Ann Turner, on 28 March 1802 in Richmond, Yorkshire, England.1,3 In the census of 6 June 1841 in Market Place, Richmond, Yorkshire, England, she was listed as the wife of Matthew Greathead.4 Ann died on 17 February 1843 in Richmond, Yorkshire, England.1,5 Ann was buried on 21 February 1843 in St Mary the Virgin, Richmond, Yorkshire, England, in the West Section 944 the monumental inscription reads "Sacred to the memory of Ann wife of Matthew Greathead who died 17 February 1843 age 70 years. Also of her 3 children, John who died 11 September 1809 aged 5 years, Jane who died 7 March 1819 aged 8 years and Isobell who died 4 April 1826 aged 19 years (& Matthew.)1,6,7" Ann and three of her children, John, Jane and Isabell were buried under the same gravestone.8 The headstone above the Greathead grave records the lives of Matthew and Ann and three of their children, John, Jane and Isabell.9

     James Raggett was born about 1782 in Godalming, Surrey, England.1 He married Elizabeth Callingham on 12 November 1825 in St Michael and All Angels, Thursley, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by James Wood and Mary White.1,2,3 His wife Elizabeth died on before 1861.1 James was listed as the head of the family of on the census of 7 April 1861 in Vamneys Farm, Elstead, Surrey, England, James was a farmer of 20 acres. His son Reuben and family were living with him. He also had his grandson Walter Brett living with him. He was aged 14 from London listed as an indoor cowboy.4 In the census of 2 April 1871 he was listed as an inmate at Hambledon Workhouse, Hambledon, Surrey, England, he was listed as a pauper.5 James died in 1871 in Bramley, Surrey, England.6 James was buried on 21 April 1871 in Holy Trinity, Bramley, Surrey, England, in plot A2 no 3. He had lived in the Poor House in Hambledon.7

     Eliza Greathead was born on 11 July 1813 in Richmond, Yorkshire, England.2,3 She was the daughter of Matthew Greathead and Ann Kilburn.1 She was baptised on 15 August 1813 in Richmond, Yorkshire, England, her father was a joiner.1,3,4 She married Thomas Wilkinson on 23 November 1848 in St Mary, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England, after a licence was issued. The ceremony was witnessed by James Moffat and Rebecca Smith. Thomas was a servant and his ftaher William a farmer. Eliza's father Matthew was a cabinet maker. Both Thomas and Eliza gave their address as 14 Lansdown Crescent.5,6,7,8 Eliza was listed as head of household in the census of 30 March 1851 at 6 Cliff Bridge Terrace, Scarborough, Yorkshire, England, Eliza was listed as wife and lodging house keeper, her niece Lucy was living with her.9 Thomas and Eliza I believe still lived at 6 Cliff Bridge Terrace, Scarborough and it may be found on RG9 Piece 3619 Folio 23 Pages 41 and 42. These two pages are missing from the census.5 In the census of 2 April 1871 in 6 Cliff Bridge Terrace, Scarborough, Yorkshire, England, she was listed as the wife of Thomas Wilkinson.10 Her husband Thomas died on 1876 in Scarborough, Yorkshire, England.5,11 In the census of 3 April 1881 in 48 Hoxton Road, Scarborough, Yorkshire, England, she was listed as a visitor of John Coates and his family. John was a twine and net manufacturer employing two men and two boys. Eliza was working as a housekeeper.12 In the census of 5 April 1891 in Union Workhouse, Scarborough, Yorkshire, England, she was listed as an inmate.13 Eliza died in 1893 in Scarborough, Yorkshire, England.14
