William Joseph Beverly was the son of Joseph Beverly.1 William took out a licence on 23 November 1881.2 He married Louisa Annie Greathead, daughter of Charles Greathead and Mary Ann Priscilla Grishow, on 25 November 1881 in Saint John of Jerusalem, Hackney, London, England, after a licence had been issued. The ceremony was witnessed by Charles Jenkins Beverly and Emily Edith Greathead. William and Annie both gave their address as 115 Bentham Road, William was a ships steward. Interestingly Louisa's father was described as a deceased umbrella maker. He was dead but had left in 1866 for Australia. Had she and her siblings heard from him?3,1

I have no idea why Ellen and her daughter were not at home with Thomas their husband and father, he was back home with his mother and two of his siblings.10 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Nellie Elizabeth Greathead was listed as living at 143 Holly Road, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England, with her mother Nellie was a clerk.3 She died on 27 February 1953 in Taylor Memorial Home, 76 Grange Road, Erdington, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England, aged 68 Her usual address was 46 Hamstead Road, Handsworth, Birmingham.11,12 The will of Nellie was proved on 4 June 1953 in Birmingham. Adminitstration papers were issued to Norman her nephew who was an engineering inspector. Her estate was valued at £784 13s 8d.11

Bartholemew Greathead was born on 28 July 1791 in Yorkshire, England.1 He was the son of Bartholomew Greathead and Margaret Temple.2,1 He was baptised on 12 October 1791 in Hornby by Bedale, Yorkshire, England.3 He married Margaret Walker, daughter of Joseph Walker and Jane ..., on 25 November 1815 in St Patrick, Patrick Brompton, Yorkshire, England.4,5,6 His wife Margaret died on 1839 in Bedale, Yorkshire, England.7 Bartholemew was listed as the head of the family on the census of 6 June 1841 in Colburn, Yorkshire, England, Bartholemew was an agricultural labourer. His daughters Mary, Martha and Margaret were with their grandparents.8 Bartholemew died in 1847 in Richmond, Yorkshire, England.9 Bartholemew was buried on 8 December 1847 in Colburn, Hipswell, Yorkshire, England.10
