     Mary Ann Nelson was born about 1850 in South Cowton, Yorkshire, England.1 She was the daughter of Thomas Nelson and Mary Ann I'Anson.1 In the census of 30 March 1851 at Atley Hill, South Cowton, Yorkshire, England, she was listed as the grandaughter of John I'Anson.2

     Eleanor Ann I'Anson was born about 1860 in Harmsby, Yorkshire, England.1 She married John Greathead Taylor, son of John George Taylor and Sarah Jane Greathead, in 1880 in Leyburn, Yorkshire, England.2 In the census of 3 April 1881 in 13 Wooler Street, Darlington, Durham, England, she was listed as the wife of John Greathead Taylor.3 In the census of 5 April 1891 in Waskerley Side, Wolsingham, Durham, England, she was listed as the wife of John Greathead Taylor.4 In the census of 31 March 1901 in Hamsterley, Durham, England, she was listed as the wife of John Greathead Taylor.5 Eleanor died in 1910 in Teesdale, Durham, England.6

     Robert Greathead Taylor was born in 1881 in Darlington, Durham, England.1,2 He was the son of John Greathead and Eleanor Ann I'Anson.1 In the census of 5 April 1891 in Waskerley Side, Wolsingham, Durham, England, he was listed as the son of John Greathead Taylor Robert was described as a schooloy.3 In the census of 2 April 1911 in 19 Marshall Street, Barnard Castle, Durham, England, he was listed as the boarder of Thomas and Elizabeth Foster. Robert was a solictors clerk.4 Robert died on 4 December 1918 in Leeds, Yorkshire, England, he was described as Son of John Greathead Taylor and Elloner Ann Taylor, of Eden House Garden Suburb, Darlington and served as Private 10/19836 with the Northumberland Fusiliers, Depot transf. to (251541) Northern Command Discharge Centre Labour Corps.5,6 Robert was buried in Harehill Cemetery, Kimberley Road, Leeds, Yorkshire, England.5

     Garth Walter Grandsen was born on 15 March 1920 in Cowra, New South Wales, Australia.1 He was the son of Robert Stanley Grandsen and Muriel Gertrude Bryant.1 Garth's service number was 412947, he enlisted in SYDNEY giving his father as his next of kin.1 He married Freda Grace Mulligan in November 1945 in Molong, New South Wales, Australia, In the Molong Express of 2 Nov 1945 it describes the Gransden-Mulligan wedding as "An attractive wedding took place here on Saturday, when Freda, only daughter of Mr and Mrs F Mulligan, of "Woodlands," Eugowra, was married to Warrant Officer Garth Gransden, eldest son of Mr and Mrs Bob Gransden of Orange. The bride entered the church on the arm of her father, and was attended by the groom's sister, Miss Shirley Gransden, of Orange, as bridesmaid, and little Diann McClintock as trainbearer. Flight Lieut. Frank Dixon, D.F.M., lately returned prisoner of war from Germany capably carried out the duties of best man. Rev Richards, from Canowindra, officiated.1
