     Mary Agnes Lawlor was also known by the name of Molly.1 She was born on 23 July 1871 in Newtown, Tipperary, Ireland.1 She married Alexander McPherson Dalton on 30 April 1898 in Exchange Hotel, Geraldton, Queensland, Australia, Geralton is now called Innisfail.1 Mary died on 11 February 1909 in Queensland, Australia, aged 37.1

     George Greathead was born on 2 February 1909 in Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia.2,3,4 He was the son of George Greathead and Ellen Mary McGladrigan.1 He married Ellen May O'Shea on 9 August 1941 in Holy Rosary Church, Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia.2,1,5 George enlisted in Australian Army on 7 June 1942 in Caulfield, Victoria. He was living in Bundaberg, Queensland. He was discharged on 24 December 1945 as a Major. His last posting was the Australian New Guinea Administrative Unit. His service number was VX80561.3 George died on 23 June 1969 in Australia aged 60.5,6

     John O'Hagan Greathead was born on 17 August 1918 in Nambour, Queensland, Australia, John was named after his grandmother.2,3 He was the son of George Greathead and Ellen Mary McGladrigan.1 John's army service number was 419958, he enlisted into 47th Battalion on 5 August 1942 as a singler bank clerk. He gave his next as kin as his father George and his address as that of his father 24 Crofton Street, West Baundaberg. He was five feet eleven and a half inches tall with a chest of 32½ inches. His weight was 146 lbs and he had no distinguishing marks.3,4 He married Edwina Dorothea Pritchard in 1946.2 In the London Gazette 1 March 1946 Supplement issued 5 March 1946. an entry appeared for John O'H Greathead (Aus 68609) Acting Corporal was reported as; "The King has also been graciously pleased to give orders for the publication of the names of the following personnel who have been mentioned in despatches." He was discharged on 12 June 1946 as a Flight Sergeant.5,6 He died on 31 December 1997 in Mater Misericordiae Hospital, Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia, aged 79 He died from bilateral bronchopneumonia, chronic obstructive airways disease and a fractured left femur at greater trochanter. He had an almost total loss of body fat and avitaminosis. F J Jarrold who was no relation and lived at Point Vernon Caravan Park, Hervey Bay was the informant of his death.2,7 John was buried on 6 January 1998 in Bundaberg Crematorium, Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia.7

     Julia Frances Concannon was born on 3 June 1892 in Maryborough, Queensland, Australia.1,2 She married John Greathead, son of George Greathead and Anne O'Hagan, on 19 November 1919 in Maryborough, Queensland, Australia, John and Julia were both very musical and made a great contribution to the cultural and community life of the city of Bundaberg. John was the President of the Society, he cast himself as the leading man in the opera 'Les Cloches de Cornville' and he and Jula, played a lady called Germaine fell in love and got married - they called their daughter Germaine and their house in Barolin Road Corneville. How romantic!!!1,3 John and Julia appeared on the Australian electoral rolls in 1925 and 1936 as living in Barolin Road, Bundaberg, Capricornia, Queensland with his brother William. John was listed as a farmer and Julia on home duties.4 Her husband John died on 11 October 1966 in Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia, aged 90.5,2,1 Julia was buried on 18 October 1972 in Bundaberg Cemetery, Fitzgerald Street, Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia, in Block 9 Row 6 No 585. She is buried with her husband George. Their stone reads "Sacred heart of Jesus have mercy on the soul of Julia F Greathead died 18 October 1972 aged 80 years and John Greathead died 11 October 1966 aged 90 years RIP."6 Julia died on 18 October 1972 in Mater Hospital, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, aged 80 after a short illness.7,1

     Rita Lucy Theresa Keleher was born on 3 January 1926 in Australia.2 Rita in the 1950's worked with women in jail.3 She married John Joseph Greathead, son of John Greathead and Julia Frances Concannon, on 21 November 1958 in St Patrick's Church in the Valley, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.1 Her husband John died on 16 June 1993 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, aged 72.1,2 Rita died on 1 January 2011 in Australia aged 84.2 She was buried on 7 January 2011 after a service at in Corpus Christi Church, Nudgee, Queensland, Australia.4 Rita was buried in Nudgee Catholic Cemetery, Nudgee, Queensland, Australia, John and Rita are buried under the same grave.5

     Mary Greathead was born in 1777.1 She was the daughter of Bartholomew Greathead and Mary Dawson. She was baptised on 10 August 1777 in Cawood, Yorkshire, England.1 She married William Garthwaite on 14 May 1818 in Marrick, Yorkshire, England, after the banns had been read on 29 April, 6 and 13 May. The ceremony was witnessed by Bartholomew Greathead and William Appleton who signed with his mark.2

     George Greathead was born in 1805 in Yarm, Yorkshire, England.1 He was the son of George Greathead and Hannah ...2 He was baptised on 22 December 1805 in Yarm, Yorkshire, England.3 He married Hannah Mellor on 13 July 1828 in St Mary the Virgin, Prestwich, Lancashire, England, after the banns had been read. Both were listed as from Crompton and signed with X. The ceremony was witnessed by John Grimshaw and Abraham Kay.4,1,5,6,7 George was listed as the head of the family of on the census of 6 June 1841 in Park, Prestwich cum Oldham, Lancashire, England, George was a cotton yarn packer.8 George was listed as head of household in the census of 30 March 1851 at Crompton Field, Crompton, Lancashire, England, George was a cotton twist maker.9 George and Anna are staying with his sister Margaret Hoyle and her children, her son George was a cotton mill operator. George was listed as a labourer with Robert and Miriam working a cotton mill operators.10 George was a dryer and Annie (presumably Hannah) was listed as a housekeeper. The 1865 state census taken on 1 May stated they were both born in England.11 He married Sarah Butterworth on 26 December 1867 in Leicester, Worcester County, Massachusetts, USA, George was aged 62 and a fireman, Sarah was aged 44. This was the second marriage for George and the third for Sarah.12,13 George died on 27 April 1872 in Worcester, Worcester County, Massachusetts, USA, from consumption aged 66 years four months 8 days. He worked as a wire worker. Although his death record states his parents were George and Sarah, I believ ethey were George and Hannah.14
