Accou in Sierre Leone, South Africa, 1st wife of James - part French.6 James and his wife left Liverpool on 23 May 1903 onboard the ship Fantee bound for Sierre Leone.5 James and his wife left Liverpool on 20 October 1906 onboard the ship Aro bound for Sierre Leone.5 He sailed again from Liverpool on 9 May 1910 this time on the Tarquah to Sierre Leone. James held an important position as shipping agent at Freetown, Sierra Leone.5,6 James travelled on Balmoral Castle leaving London on 16 February 1917 bound for Kenya. He appears on the ships manifest, although his name was crossed through. He was described as a Manager on the ships manifest.8 James sailed from Liverpool aboard Aba on 11 January 1922 travelling 1st class bound for the Gold Coast. William left school on 21 October 1888 and Walter on 6 October 1888.4 In the census of 5 April 1891 in 4 Albert Terrace, Tottenham, London, England, he was listed as the son of Walter George Greathead.5 In the census of 31 March 1901 in 119 Chelmsford, Walthamstow, London, England, he was listed as the son of Walter George Greathead William was a lime light operator.6 He married Blanche Lidia Dewar, daughter of George Dewar and Thirza Bowers Winters, on 29 April 1906 in St Mary the Virgin, Walthamstow, Essex, England, C I Watkins married them after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by Sid Dewar and Lucy Dewar. Both bride and groom gave their address as 24 Brunswick Street. William was a carman.7,8 William died on 19 November 1912 in Ham Asylum, Wentworth, Ontario, Canada, aged 29 William was described as a labourer and married at the time of his death from epilepsy. He was admitted into Ham Asylum on 17 October and died from exhaustion a few weeks later.9
