Charlie Ramsden was born about 1933.1 He married Kathleen Greathead, daughter of William Henry Greathead and Elizabeth Gibbon, in 1954 in Sunderland, Durham, England.2 Charlie died on 8 July 2009 in St Benedict's Hospice, Sunderland, Durham, England, after a long illness. Charlie and Kathleen had three children Robert, Colin and Richard. Their spiuses were Janet, Sharon and Suzanne and their children were Robert, Claire and Lee Colin, Adam, Lauren and Ryan.3 His body was cremated on 15 July 2009 in Sunderland Crematorium, Sunderland, Durham, England.3

Administration papers were issued on 24 January 1940 in Manchester to John's parents Percy Casseldon Greathead a draper and his wife Helena Greathead. His effects were valued at £484 15s 10d.5
