Thomas Wright was born on 6 January 1749/50 in Coolbaun, County Wexford, Ireland.1 He was the son of Joshua Wright and Anne King. Thomas settled at Curragh, County Carlow. He had four sons and one daughter.1 Thomas died on 17 November 1813 in County Carlow, Ireland, aged 63.1 Thomas was buried in November 1813.1

Clarence Bright Greathead was born on 28 January 1902 in Carterton, New Zealand.1,2,3,4,5,6 He was the son of Ernest Frederick Greathead and Mary Toms. He married Thelma May Preston on 18 August 1926 in Methodist Church, Waitakaru, New Zealand.2,7,8
He was a freezing worker in a meat works in Otahuhu, Auckland, New Zealand. Clarence was a slaughterman in 11 November 1942 in 81 Church Street, Otahuhu, Auckland, New Zealand, when he was called up to fight in WW2.9 Clarence died on 19 February 1960 in Otahuhu, Auckland, New Zealand, aged 58.2,3,10,11,12,6 He appears in the list of probates, and was filed as intestate on 10 May 1960. Papers of administration were issued to his wife on 8 June 1960.1,11,13 Clarence was buried in Otahuhu Cemetery, Otahuhu, Auckland, New Zealand, Clarence and his wife were buried in the same grave in Area J Lot no 7. The ashes of their son Martin were also scattered on the grave. The transcription on the gravestone read " In loving memory of Clarence Bright Greathead, loved husband and father, born January 1902, 19 February 1960. Preserve me, O God, for in thee have I put my trust."14,11,6
