     Michael Yarker Greathead was born about 1834 in Richmond, Yorkshire, England.1,3 He was the son of Peter Whitelock Greathead and Elizabeth Yarker. He was baptised on 16 February 1834 in Spennithorne, Yorkshire, England.1,4 In the census of 6 June 1841 in Stutton Filpot, Marske, Yorkshire, England, he was listed as the son of Peter Whitelock Greathead.5 In the census of 30 March 1851 at Market Place, Richmond, Yorkshire, England, he was listed as an apprentice grocer to Leonard Cooke who was the Mayor of the Borough and a Grocer.6 He married Ann Elizabeth Campbell on 26 May 1860 in Bishopwearmouth, Sunderland, Durham, England.7,8 Michael was listed as the head of the family on the census of 7 April 1861 in 7 Frederick Street, Bishopwearmouth, Sunderland, Durham, England, Michael was a tobacconist and lived with his wife Ann.9 Michael was on Thursday 20 August 1868 charged of having a quantity of adulterated cavendish tobacco. The magistrates imposed a penalty of a fine of £50 and costs.10 Michael was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1871 at 36 Frederick Street, Bishopwearmouth, Sunderland, Durham, England, Michael was a tobacco manufacturer.11 His wife Ann died on 28 May 1877 in Sunderland, Durham, England.12,13 A serious fire broke out on the night of 18 December 1878 in Michael's tobacconist shop in the High Street, Sunderland. The whole of his goods were destroyed and it is feared some of the jewelery of a neighbours shop may also be damaged. The origin of the fire was unknown.14 Michael was listed as the head of the family of on the census of 3 April 1881 in 8 Lambton Street, Bishopwearmouth, Sunderland, Durham, England, Michael was a tobacco manufacturer.15 On 22 January 1882 fire broke out in Michael's premises. He was described as a tobacco and cigar manufacturer and proprietor of the Turkish baths in Lambton Street. The flames were extinguished within an hour. The damage was estimated at £400 - £500 and was covered by insurance.16 Michael's Turkish Baths at Sunderland suffered somewhat from a fire in April 1882, the hot chamber having got overheated. He was declared bankrupt on 20 December 1882. He was described as a tobacconist, tea dealer and proprietor of the Turkish Baths and lived in 8 Lambton Street, Bishopwearmouth, Sunderland, Durham, England.17,18 He married Jane Henderson Thompson in 1883 in Sunderland, Durham, England.19 Michael was listed as the head of the family on the census of 5 April 1891 in 38 Shouldhouse Street, St Marylebone, London, England, Michael is described as an agent.20 His wife Jane died on 1895 in Paddington, London, England.21 Michael died on 17 May 1896 in 11 South Street, Manchester Square, Middlesex, England.22,23 Michael did not leave a will. Administration papers were issued on 16 June 1896 in London to his daughter Annie. His effects were valued at £294 14s 4d. He was a confectioner.22 Michael was buried in Grangetown Cemetery, Sunderland, Durham, England, Michael and Ann and their children Annie, Edward, Lydia and Marian were buried in the same grave.13

Peter also had several nephews and nieces, Lorian Rothlein of Payson, Arizona, Abigail Legg of Jacksonville Florida, Michael Greathead (deceased), Billy Greathead of Jacksonville, Florida, Joanne Tomlinson of Jacksonville, Florida, Nicole Greathead Parisi of Tampa Florida, and David Greathead of Tampa Florida. Peter served in Vietnam with the US Air Force. After 20 years of service Peter retired from military duty as a Flight Engineer. After retiring from active duty he continued to work as a flight engineer before retiring from DHL after another 20 years. Pete enjoyed spending time with family especially traveling with his wife and enjoying the Caribbean and time shares in Orlando or Saint Marten. He also loved cheering for his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys, and riding rollercoasters at Universal Studios. The family will receive friends on 19 March 2019, from 11:30 PM - 1:30 PM at Copeland Funeral Home, 6 Copeland Drive Beaufort, South Carolina. Graveside services will begin at 2:00 P.M. with Military Honors at Beaufort National Cemetery, 1601 Boundary Street Beaufort, South Carolina.5

     Annie Lambert was born on 18 May 1904.2 She married Albert Greathead, son of James Greathead and Jane Ann Dowson, in 1925 in Northallerton, Yorkshire, England.3 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Annie was listed as living at Sedgefield, Durham, England, with her husband Albert. And their son Derek and one other person.4 Her husband Albert died on 21 April 1965 in 1 Victoria Terrace, Chilton, Ferryhill, Durham, England, aged 68.5,6 Annie died on 7 December 1974 in 1 Victoria Terrace, Chilton, Ferryhill, Durham, England, aged 70 Her death appeared in London Gazette of 3 July 1975. Her adpoted son Derek gave notice as interest on her estate.7,8,9 Annie was buried in Chilton Cemetery, Chilton, Durham, England.10 The will of Annie was proved on 13 May 1975 in Newcastle upon Tyne. Her effects were valued at £13,993.8
