Elizabeth Ann Greathead was born on 5 July 1894 in 146 Pennington Street, St George in the East, London, England.1,2,3 She was the daughter of Henry Greathead and Margaret Skipp. She was baptised on 25 July 1894 in St Anne, Underwood Road, Westminster, London, England, the family lived at 6 Penitent Street.4 In the census of 31 March 1901 in 146 Pennington Street, St George in the East, London, England, she was listed as the daughter of Henry Greathead.5 In the census of 2 April 1911 in 40 Sussex Street, Poplar, London, England, she was listed as the daughter of Henry Greathead Elizabeth was a shop assistant in the general printers.6 She married John Henry Tocock, son of Charles Harry Tocock and Eliza Stembridge, on 17 May 1921 in Christ Church, High Harrogate, Yorkshire, England, after the banns had been read on 10, 17 and 24 April. They were heard also in Elizabeth's parish of St Luke's Millwall.. The ceremony was witnessed by John's brother Robert William Tocock and his father Charles Harry Tocock. John gave his address as 110 Regent Avenue, Harrogate, he was a motor mechanic Elizabeth gave her address as 139 Mellish Street, Millwall, London.1,7,8,9 The family lived in Guernsey until it was taken over by the Germans during WW2. They lost everything and fled to London to visit Elizabeth's sister Maggie. They then set up home in Dorking.10 Elizabeth died in April 1984 in Surrey, England, aged 89.11
