Thomas Hall was baptised on 23 March 1745 in St Botolph, Aldgate, London, England, he was the son of Thomas and Elizabeth Hall and they lived in Hounsditch.2 He married Elizabeth Greathead, daughter of John Greathead and Mary Rainsden, on 18 June 1767 in Saint Mary, St Marylebone Road, St Marylebone, London, England, after the banns had been read on 31 May, 7 and 14 June 1767. The ceremony was witnessed by Philip Greathead and William Renshaw. William witnessed several marriages around that time so I do wonder whether he was a church warden rather than a member of the family.1,3,4,5
