Arthur Palmerly Huitson was born on 31 May 1870 in Auckland, Durham, England.2,3 He was the son of John Huitson and Margaret Ann Dickinson. He married Mary Eliza Graham, daughter of John Arthur(s) and Mary Lavinia Graham, in 1890 in Auckland, Durham, England, Mary married under the surname of Graham, having been raised by an uncle, John Graham but her maiden name is given as Arthur on her children’s birth certificates.4 Arthur was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1911 in 5 Garden Street, Newfield, Willington, Durham, England, Arthur was living with his wife and eight surviving children in their four roomed home. Arthur was a stone man in the coal mine.5 Arthur died in 1923 in Easington, Durham, England.3,6

In 1936 their sister Lena Ramsden and Edward and Lily Willett were listed as living with them.8 In 1946 and 1947 Parmler, Kate were living with their mother Mary Eliza in 54 Stoddert House, Meadow Road in Lambeth.8 Mary died in 1952 in Lambeth, London, England.3,9

In the census of 2 April 1911 in 5 Garden Street, Newfield, Willington, Durham, England, he was listed as the son of Arthur Palmerly Huitson Richard was a screen man.3 Kate and her Mum moved down South to Lambeth in 1927. Richard was already working in the area.4 Richard died in 1981.1

Norman Huitson was born on 16 September 1900 in Auckland, Durham, England.2,3 He was the son of Arthur Palmerly Huitson and Mary Eliza Arthur(s). In the census of 2 April 1911 in 5 Garden Street, Newfield, Willington, Durham, England, he was listed as the son of Arthur Palmerly Huitson.4 He married Barbara Warlow on 24 August 1921 in Easington, Durham, England, Norman and Barbara had four children.2,5 Norman died on 22 January 1959 in The General Hospital, Sunderland, Durham, England, aged 58 his usual address was 16 James Street, Easington Colliery.6,7 Norman did not leave a will. Administration papers were issued on 6 February 1959 in Durham to Barbara his widow.7

And their children George, Ronald, Elsie, Celia and Iris. George was a boiler man.3 George died on 4 September 1978 in 88 Green Lane, Nuneaton, Warwickshire, England, aged 77.7,8 Administration papers were issued with a will on 25 June 1983 Administration papers were issued with a will on 25 June 1983 in Oxford. It appears that David gave evidence some time ago against a criminal who was consequently imprisoned.
The Journal dated 7 March 2001 stated "A man who was repeatedly stabbed yards from his home while walking his dog has died in hospital. David Huitson, 53, was found in a critical condition after he was stabbed while walking on grass next to Westfield Avenue, Brunswick, Newcastle, at around 6.25.p.m. on Sunday. He was taken to Newcastle General Hospital but died yesterday afternoon.............2

It appears that David gave evidence some time ago against a criminal who was consequently imprisoned. David was the son of Ronald, Peter's father's brother. Information came to Peter via cousin Brent in Canada via P.C.Neill of Northumbria police, as David's sister Denise could not bring herself to ring Brent.
The Journal March 7 2001 - A man who was repeatedly stabbed yards from his home while walking his dog has died in hospital. David Huitson, 53, was found in a critical condition after he was stabbed while walking on grass next to Westfield Avenue, Brunswick, Newcastle, at around 6.25.p.m. on Sunday. He was taken to Newcastle General Hospital but died yesterday afternoon. Det Supt Colin Dobson has appealed for information from anyone who saw the confrontation, between 6.15.p.m. and 6.20. p.m. Mr Huitson was 6ft tall with ginger hair and a beard. He was accompianied by his black and white collie dog. The search for the weapon is continuing and 40 police officers are now working on the case. anyone with information is asked to call the incident room at Etal Lane Police Station on 0191 221 8982. *a 22-year-old local man was last night charged with the murder of Mr. Huitson. He was due to appear before Newcastle magistrates today.
Evening Chronicle March 7 2001 - A man charged with the murder of David Huitson was appearing in court today. Mr. Huitson , 53 , of Westfield Avenue, Brunswick Village Newcastle, was attacked on Sunday and died of stab wounds. He was in an arguement while walking his dog on fields next to Westfield Avenue. The accused is appearing before Newcastle magistrates.
