He was a tanker driver. His death was not registered until May. There was an inquest but the coroner signed the cremation certificate allowing early cremation.^4,5,6 His body was cremated his usual address was listed as 36 Redwood Close, Woolston, Warrington and he was living with his wife Carole Ann Greathead who applied for the cremation. John Finlay Hibbert, Coroner for the County Court of Cheshire signed the cremation certificate His ashes were scattered in Conifer 3 area of the crematorium on 23 January 1989 in Altrincham Crematorium, Whitehouse Lane, Dunham Massey, Altrincham, Cheshire, England.⁷ William did not leave a will. He was promoted to Sub Section Leader L/Corporal and was discharged on 18 August 1941 to join the Royal Navy. He was living with at Fell View Grove, Durham, England.⁵ He married Olive Westthorp in 1950 in Durham, England.⁶ Frank died on 31 December 1989 in 31 Elwyn Street, Marchwiel, Wrexham, Denbighshire, Wales, aged 67.^7,8 The will of Frank was proved on 16 January 1990 in Liverpool. His effects were described as not exceeding £100,000.⁸
