In the census of 19 June 1921 in 12 Rodwell Street, Trimdon Station, Wingate, Durham, England, she was listed as the daughter of Anthony Greathead.² On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Violet was listed as living at 175 Park Road, West Hartlepool, Durham, England, She was working as a paid domestic to Thomas Oldfield and his family and lived in.³ Violet died on 1 March 2012 in Charlotte Grange Care Home, Hartlepool, Durham, England.^4,5,6,7,8 Her body was cremated on 9 March 2012 in Stranton Grange Crematorium, Stranton, West Hartlepool, Durham, England.^5,7 The will of Violet was proved on 25 April 2012 in Newcastle upon Tyne.⁴

In the census of 19 June 1921 in 125 Craddock Street, Spennymoor, Durham, England, he was listed as the son of George William Greathead.³ Walter's medal card described him as Private 25301in RAMC and he was awarded the British and Victory medals.⁴ He married Dorothy Mallinson on 9 January 1943 in St Margaret, Bradford, Yorkshire, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by Leonard Green and Olve Hetherington. Walter was in the R.A.M.C. and Dorothy was a munition worker. The ceremony was witnessed by John Laurence Greathead and Mabel Annie Hall. Both Walter and Alma gave their address as 96 Croft Road, Nuneaton.^3,1 Her husband Walter died on 12 February 1989 in 17 Mapleton Drive, Norton-on-Tees, Durham, England, aged 69 from Carcinomatosis, a respiratory infection and Chronic lymphatic leukaemia. He was described as a retired chemical process worker.^1,4,5 2003 Alma Greathead lived at 38 The Sycamores, in Bluntisham, in Huntingdon, in Cambridgeshire.¹ Sadly Alama developed dementia during 2010.⁶ Alma died on 27 December 2011 in Cambridgeshire, England, aged 88.^6,7,8 The will of Alma was proved on 26 April 2012.⁹
