     Donald Stuart Groves was born on 16 October 1933 in Johannesburg, Transvaal, South Africa.1 He married Hilary Patricia Ferrey, daughter of Adrian Gerald Ferrey and Lorna Elaine Dallas, on 9 August 1958 in St Augustines, Orange Free State, South Africa.1 He died suddenly on 6 May 2000 in Randburg, Johannesburg, Transvaal, South Africa, aged 66 in his son's home the day before Donald and Hilary were due to fly home to Orpington in England. They had just attended their daughter Rose-Anne's wedding in March.1,2 Donald was buried on 10 May 2000 in Fourways Memorial Park, Randburg, Johannesburg, Transvaal, South Africa.1,2
