In the census of 2 April 1911 in No 3 Court 8 White Road, Sparkbrook, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England, she was listed as the daughter of Ernest Isaac Richard Greathead.4 In the census of 19 June 1921 in 3 Bk of 42 White Road, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England, she was listed as the daughter of Ernest Isaac Richard Greathead.5 She married Leonard Homer on 31 March 1934 in Christ Church, Sparkbrook, Warwickshire, England, after the banns had beed read. The ceremony was witnessed by George Frederick Homer and Mildred Eveline Homer. Leonard was a brass fitter and Hilda a printer.6,7 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Hilda was listed as living at 19 Blackford Road, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England, with her husband Leonard. Leonard was an assembler of brass, gas and electric light fittings.8 Hilda died in 1972 in Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.9

     Anthony Arthur Greathead was born on 29 April 1937 in Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.3,4,5 He was the son of George Greathead and Margaret Martin. He married Lilian Margaret Bunney on 4 July 1959 in Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.6,7 Tony suffered from meningitis over Christmas 1984, he was in a coma until 6 January 1985 resulting in the loss of memory. Anthony was also diabetic. His wife Lilian died on 7 December 2006 in Treliske, 11 Beech Road, St Austell, Cornwall, England, aged 65.8,9,10 Anthony died on 18 November 2008 in Cornwall, England, aged 71 from diabetes.4,11 His funeral was held on 1 December 2008 at Holy Trinity Church.4,12,13

     Lilian Margaret Bunney was born on 18 July 1941 in Truro, Cornwall, England, Lilians mothers maiden name was Bennett.2 She married Anthony Arthur Greathead, son of George Greathead and Margaret Martin, on 4 July 1959 in Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.3,4 Lilian died on 7 December 2006 in Treliske, 11 Beech Road, St Austell, Cornwall, England, aged 65.5,6,7 Lilian was buried on 20 December 2006 in Campdown Cemetery, St Austell, Cornwall, England, following a service at Holy Trinity Church, St Austell at 11am. Donations were requested to be sent to RSPCA, Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary or the Cinnamon Trust.5,8 The will of Lilian was proved on 28 January 2009 in Winchester to Philip Henry Reed and Philip Graham Snell of Stephens Scown Solictors 3 Cross Lane, St Austell, Cornwall PL25 4AX.7

     George Greathead was born on 14 June 1911 in Royal Oak Hotel, 171 Holyhead Road, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.2,3,4 He was the son of Sidney Arthur Greathead and Florence Hannah Field. He was baptised on 19 July 1911 in St James, Handsworth, Warwickshire, England, the family lived in 171 Holyhead Road and his father was the publican.5 In the census of 19 June 1921 in Royal Oak Hotel, 171 Holyhead Road, Handsworth, Staffordshire, England, he was listed as the son of Arthur S Greathead.6 He married Margaret Martin in 1934 in Register Office, West Bromwich, Staffordshire, England, Sadly the first two babies of George and Margaret were twins and died at birth.7,8,9 He was in the Army in the 1940s. George died on 19 February 1983 in 5 Eastfield Road, Tipton, Staffordshire, England, aged 71.2,10,11 His body was cremated and then buried in plot 2. His wife Margaret requested the cremation she lived at 5 Eastfield Road in Tipton on 28 February 1983 in Sandwell Valley Crematorium, Newton Road, Sandwell, Warwickshire, England.12 Administration papers were issued with a will on 17 May 1983 in Birmingham. His effects were described at not exceeding £25,000.11

     Terence Arthur Thresher was born on 13 October 1942 in Daventry, Nottinghamshire, England, Terence's mothers maiden name was Franklin.2,3 He married Muriel M Perkes, daughter of George Greathead and Margaret Martin, in July 1984 in Daventry, Nottinghamshire, England, Terry was Muriel's second husband.4,1,5 Terence died on 21 April 2006 in Daventry, Nottinghamshire, England, aged 63 In February 2006 Terry was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme (front lobe Brain tumor). Sadly he died just two months later.2,6

In the census of 19 June 1921 in 4 Stoney Lane, Beamish, Urpeth, Durham, England, he was listed as the son of George William Greathead.5 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Charles Henry Greathead was listed as living at 63 West Street, Chester le Street, Durham, England, with his parents.6 He married Brenda Mary Clubbe, daughter of Horace G Clubbe and Mary Jane Carpenter, on 25 June 1942 in Gosport, Hampshire, England.1,7 He was a General Dealer as described on his son Richard's marriage certificate in 1968.8 His wife Brenda died on 29 December 1996 in Leeds, Yorkshire, England, aged 77 her usual address was 19 Jarvis Square, Riobin Hood, Wakefield.1,9,10 Charles died on 19 February 2010 in Leeds, Yorkshire, England, aged 88 he was a retired heavy goods vehicle driver.11,10,12,13 His body was cremated his ashes were scatted in a similar manner to those of his wife Brenda who died back in December 1996 on 26 February 2010 in Wakefield Crematorium, Standbridge Lane, Crigglestone, Wakefield, Yorkshire, England.10 The will of Charles was proved on 3 June 2010 in Leeds.12

     Richard Greathead was born on 18 April 1949 in Gosport, Hampshire, England.1,3,4,5 He was the son of Charles Henry Greathead and Brenda Mary Clubbe. He married Amelia Snaith, daughter of Humphrey Snaith, on 6 April 1968 in Register Office, Darlington, Durham, England, after a certificate was issued. the ceremony was witnessed by F Lough and C Sheen. Richard was a General dealer and Master Greengrocer and gave his address as 23 Front Street, Grange Villa. Amelia gave her occupation as a machinist in a clothing factory and her address as 29 East Street, Grange Villa.6 He married Mary Bradley in 1979 in Durham, England.7 Richard and Mary were divorced. Richard died on 14 April 2008 in Sunderland, Durham, England, aged 58 from a heart attack. He was apparently driving and felt unwell. Pulled over to a layby and sadly died.4,8,9 Richard was buried on 23 April 2008 his body was conveyed to the crematorium in a glass coach pulled by two magnificent black horses. The funeral was attended by about 300 people. Richard was a very popular, funny gentleman.

Sadly although the family tried very hard they could not trace his brother Raymond to tell him of Richard's death. Raymond and his wife were last heard of in Sydney Australia.4

     Raymond Greathead was born in 1954 in Gosport, Hampshire, England.1,2 He was the son of Charles Henry Greathead and Brenda Mary Clubbe. Raymond whilst playing became the longtime hero of his cousin Tony when aged about nine he rescued him from certain death. Tony, aged five had gone onto ice after a football and when the ice cracked he fell in. Raymond quickly tied his coat arms to his jumper and going out over the ice on his stomach threw the tied garments, like a rope out to rescue Tony. Luckily the attempt was successful and Tony survived to remain forever grateful to his cousin for his quick thinking action and bravery.3 He married Margaret E Phillips on 2 April 1977 in Jarrow, Durham, England, Margaret was also registered under the name of Margaret E Main.1,4,5 Raymond and Margaret went to live in Australia.3 Raymond died in 2010 in Australia from a heart attack.3,6 Raymond was buried on 5 February 2010 in Macquarie Park Cemetery and Crematorium, Corner Delhi and Plassey Roads, North Ryde, New South Wales, Australia, after a service was conducted at 3:15.6,7

     Elizabeth Barnes was born about 1820 in Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire, England.1,2 She was the daughter of Edward Barnes. She married Mark Myers in 1837 in Prescot, Lancashire, England.3 Her husband Mark died on 1839 in Bradford, Yorkshire, England.4 She married Thomas Greathead, son of Thomas Greathead, on 3 September 1848 in St Peter, Eagle Street, Derby, Derbyshire, England, According to the birth certificate of her son Willlam, Elizabeth gave her previous name as Barnes and she was previously Mear, she signed with an X. According to her marriage certificate she declared she was a widow of full age called Elizabeth Myers. Her father was declared as William Smith a labourer. Again she signed with a X. Thomas was a bachelor and horsekeeper.

The ceremony took place after banns had been read and was witnessed by Thomas Woolley and Ann Oliver.5,6,7 Her husband Thomas died on 1850 in Chertsey, Surrey, England.8 Elizabeth was listed as head of household in the census of 30 March 1851 at 5 Albion Place, Brompton, London, England, Elizabeth was a needlwoman living with her three children. She was a widow with two lodgers.9 She married William Reader on 4 November 1858 in St Peter and Paul, Aston, Warwickshire, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by Joseph Yardley who signed with his mark and Fredk Jas Roberts. William was a miller, both he and Elizabeth gave their address as Duddeston. Elizabeth stated her father was Edward Barnes a butcher.1,10,11,12 In the census of 7 April 1861 in Tanworth Mill, Tanworth, Warwickshire, England, she was listed as the wife of William Reader.13 In the census of 2 April 1871 in Henwood Mill, Solihull, Warwickshire, England, she was listed as the wife of William Reader.14 In the census of 3 April 1881 in Wootten Wawen, Warwickshire, England, she was listed as the wife of William Reader.15 In the census of 5 April 1891 in Trap's Green Farm, Wootten Wawen, Warwickshire, England, she was listed as the wife of William Reader.16 Elizabeth died in 1891 in Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire, England.1,17
