He was baptised on 26 July 1835 in Patrick Brompton, Yorkshire, England, his father William was a labourer.3 In the census of 6 June 1841 in Outlying Farms & Dwellings, Hole House, (Straggler), Kelloe, Easington, Durham, England, he was listed as the son of William Greathead.1,4 In the census of 31 March 1851 atEast Hetton, Durham, England, he was listed as the brother in law of John Weatherall George was a coal miner staying with his sister Jane and her family.5 George was listed as the head of the family on the census of 7 April 1861 in Trimdon Colliery, Trimdon, Darlington, Durham, England, George was a coal miner.6 He married Margaret ... in Stockton on Tees, Durham, England.2 George was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1871 in 1 California, Eston, Yorkshire, England, George was an ironstone miner and living with his wife and two boarders.7 George died in 1880 in Easington, Durham, England.8

     Thomas Atkinson was born in 1836.1 He married Isabella Adamson believe 1st wife. He was a cinder burner. Thomas died in 1911.1 Thomas was buried in 1911 in Maple Grove Cemetery, Cleves, Miami, Twp, Hamilton County, Ohio, USA, in Section 1, lot 111, grave 6.1 It is believed that Thomas possibly remarried a Mary ... born 1838 died 1911 and buried Section 1, Lot 111, Grave 7 Maple Grove Cemetery in Cleves, Miami Twp. His first wife Isabella is believed to have died in England.1

     Charles Clyde May was born on 15 February 1890 in Silas Creek, Ashe County, North Carolina, USA.1,2 He was the son of Nathaniel Avery May and Cynthia Caroline Adkins Dickson. In the census of 20 April 1910 in Browns Creek, McDowell County, West Virginia, USA, he was listed as boarding with Eli and Lula Anderson.3 He married Florence Mae Greathead, daughter of William Henry Greathead and Isabella Atkinson, on 19 September 1910 in Kimball, McDowell County, West Virginia, USA.1 Charles was listed as the head of the family on the census of 5 January 1920 in Browns Creek, McDowell County, West Virginia, USA, Charlie was listed as a Tipper Boss in Coal Company.4 Charles was listed as the head of the family of on the census of 2 April 1930 in Browns Creek, McDowell County, West Virginia, USA, Charlie was listed as a foreman.5 A wonderful picture of some of of the May children, Cliff, Leonard, Nina, Pauline, Patsie, Isabell and Bernard.1 Charles was listed as the head of the family of on the census of 1 April 1940 in Big Creek, McDowell County, West Virginia, USA, Charlie was living with his wife and seven of their children.6 Charles died on 2 April 1962 in Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana, USA, aged 72.1,2 Charles was buried in Floral Gardens Cemetery, Indianapolis, Indiana, USA.7

He married Hannah Warner, daughter of Robert Warner and Elizabeth Reed, in 1873 in Hartlepool, Durham, England.3 George was listed as the head of the family on the census of 3 April 1881 in 29 Albion Street, Stranton, West Hartlepool, Durham, England.4,5 He was an iron ship plater. George was listed as the head of the family of on the census of 5 April 1891 in 17 Anthony Street, West Hartlepool, Durham, England, George was an iron ship plater.6 George died on 23 October 1908 in Hartlepool, Durham, England, aged 53.4,7,8 The will of George was proved on 21 December 1908 in Durham to Hannah his wife and Harrah Harrison his daughter.
