     Georgina Gertrude Sutherland was born about 1858 in Sunderland, Durham, England.1 She married Henry Greathead, son of John Greathead and Jane Bailes, in 1883 in Sunderland, Durham, England.2 In the census of 5 April 1891 in 2 Sea View Street, Ryhope, Sunderland, Durham, England, she was listed as the wife of Henry Greathead.3,4 Her husband Henry died on 9 September 1900 in 19 Stockton Terrace, Grangetown, Sunderland, Durham, England.5,6,7 She received administration on 30 January 1901 in Durham.6 Georgina was listed as head of household in the census of 31 March 1901 in 19 Stockton Terrace, Grangetown, Sunderland, Durham, England.8,4 Georgina was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1911 in 19 Stockton Terrace, Grangetown, Sunderland, Durham, England, Georgina was a grocer and general dealer living her children in their four roomed home.9,10,11 Georgina was listed as head of household in the census of 19 June 1921 in 18 Stockton Terrace, grangetown, Sunderland, Durham, England, George was living with her daughter Ada.12 She died on 14 September 1925 in 18 Stockton Terrace, Grangetown, Sunderland, Durham, England, The age on her death certificate is 63. As her husband Henry died in 1900 there was only her children left to say how old she was! I believe the age on the census returns is more likely to be correct.13,6 The will of Georgina was proved on 4 November 1925 in Durham to her daughters Ada Jane Greathead, who was a spinster at that time and Laura Bradwell (wife of James Alfred Bradwell). Her effects were valued at £603 15s 3d.6
