     Wilfred Greathead was born on 28 February 1913 in Auckland, Durham, England.2,3 He was the son of Robert Greathead and Sarah Dowson. In the census of 19 June 1921 in Nags Head House, Rainton Gate, West Rainton, Durham, England, he was listed as the son of Robert Greathead.4 He married Elizabeth Violet Moorhouse, daughter of ... Syrie, in 1934 in Bradford, Yorkshire, England.5 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Wilfred was listed as living at 22 Egypt, Bradford, Yorkshire, England, with his wife Elizabeth. With their children Owen, Avril and Yvonne. Wilfred was a motor engineer and an Air Raid Warden.3 He married Elsie Windle in 1963 in Bradford, Yorkshire, England.6,1 Wilfred had a secret affair which only came to light at his funeral when his daughter Vivienne turned up.1 Wilfred died on 25 March 1988 in 13 Ashcroft Avenue, Purston, Pontefract, Yorkshire, England, aged 75.7,8 His body was cremated on 31 March 1988 in Pontefract Crematorium, Wakefield Road, Pontefract, Yorkshire, England.9 Administration papers were issued with a will on 8 June 1988 in Leeds. His effects were described at not exceeding £70,000.8
