The ceremony was witnessed by Frederick THomas Swann and Florence Maud Swann. James Richard was a watch case finnisher, his father James Booth was also a watch case finnisher. Rose's father Frederick George Swann wa a musician.2 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Rose was listed as living at 8 Kingsland Avenue, Coventry, Warwickshire, England, with her husband James. James was a heavy foundry costings fettler.3 Her husband James died on 1945 in Coventry, Warwickshire, England.4 Rose died in 1960 in Coventry, Warwickshire, England.5

     James Anderson was born in 1842 in Teddington, Middlesex, England, Interestingly James mother's maiden name was Smithers like the lady he married in 1868.1 He was the son of Robert Anderson and Grace Smithers. In the census of 30 March 1851 at Nursery, Teddington, Middlesex, England, he was listed as the son of Robert Anderson.2 In the census of 7 April 1861 in Hampton Road, Teddington, Middlesex, England, he was listed as the son of Robert Anderson James was a master gardener.3 He married Sarah Smithers, daughter of Robert Smithers and Caroline Arters, on 20 September 1868 in St Nicholas, Thames Ditton, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by James Smithers and Robert Smithers. James was a nurseryman like his father Robert Anderson. Sarah's father Robert Smithers was a dairyman.

It would appear John Smithers married Louisa Abigail Young on the same day with the same church and GRO reference. Were John and Sarah brother and sister?4,5 James was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1871 in 1 Rose Cottage, Latimer Road, Teddington, Middlesex, England, James was a florists labourer living with his wife and children.6 James was listed as the head of the family on the census of 3 April 1881 in 2 Connaught Place, Walpole Road, Teddington, Surrey, England, James is a florist living with his wife and seven children.7 James was listed as the head of the family on the census of 5 April 1891 in Vicarage Road, Sunbury on Thames, Surrey, England, James was a gardener, living with his wife and five children.8 James died in 1894 in Staines, Middlesex, England.9

She was baptised on 31 January 1847 in St Mary, Stoke D'Abernon, Surrey, England, her father was a labourer and the family lived in Bear Inn, Oxshott.2 She married James Anderson, son of Robert Anderson and Grace Smithers, on 20 September 1868 in St Nicholas, Thames Ditton, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by James Smithers and Robert Smithers. James was a nurseryman like his father Robert Anderson. Sarah's father Robert Smithers was a dairyman.

In the census of 3 April 1881 in 2 Connaught Place, Walpole Road, Teddington, Surrey, England, he was listed as the son of James Anderson.2 In the census of 5 April 1891 in Vicarage Road, Sunbury on Thames, Surrey, England, he was listed as the son of James Anderson Charles was a greengrocer's assistant.3 He witnessed the probate of the estate of Sarah Anderson on 23 March 1908 Brothers Robert James Anderson a groom and Charles Henry Anderson a Police Constable received probate.4 He married Annie Eva Mason on 29 July 1908 in St Anthony, Stepney, London, England, after the banns had been read on 12, 19 and 26 July 1908. The ceremony was witnessed by E H Pearce, JE Helson and JE Mason. Charles was a Plice Constable, his father James Anderson was deceased but had worked as a florist. In the census of 5 April 1891 in Vicarage Road, Sunbury on Thames, Surrey, England, she was listed as the daughter of James Anderson.2 In the census of 2 April 1911 in 29 Canbury Passage, Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, England, she was listed as the sister in law of Joseph James Russell Grace was working as a domestic servant.3 She married Bert Hartwell in 1913 in Brentford, London, England.4 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Grace was listed as living at 61 Richmond Road, Twickenham, Middlesex, England, with her husband Bert. Bert was a greengrocer and removal contractor.5 She witnessed the probate of the estate of Lilly Elizabeth Grace Skelton on 30 September 1954.6 Grace died on 8 March 1963 in 18a Cambridge Park East, Twickenham, Middlesex, England, aged 79.7,6 Her estate was probated on 2 May 1963 Administration papers were issued in London to her husband Bert Hartwell a retired greengrocer. The ceremony was witnessed by Martha Hamman and Robert Anderson. Arthur was an engineer, his father Richard Hamman was a caretaker and was deceased.
