     John Cameron Richardson was born on 29 August 1830 in Quebec, Canada.1 He was baptised on 27 September 1830 in St Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, Canada, he was son of Ralph Richardson.1 He married Charlotte Stainsby, daughter of Benjamin Stainsby and Anna Greathead, in October 1856 in Newark, New Jersey, USA. In the census of 1 June 1860 in New Jersey, USA, he was listed as the son in law of an unknown person John was a hat manufacturer.2 John was listed in the US Civil War Draft Registration Records dated 10 September 1863 aged 35 with an occupation of a hatter.3 John was listed as the head of the family on the census of 20 June 1870 in New Jersey, Canada, John was a foreman of the Aquaduct Board living with his wife and two children.4 John died on 31 July 1891 in New Jersey, USA, aged 60 aged 64 years 11 months.5
