He gave his address as 18 Scarborough Street South Bank Yorks and his occupation as an engineer. He was going to his Uncle W Moore 3736, Rosemount Boulivard in Montreal.6 He married Gladys Wildfang on 7 November 1935 in Moorefield, Wellington, Ontario, Canada, the ceremony was witnessed by Carl Wildfang and Vera Wildfang after a licence was issued on 26 October 1935 in Fort William, Thunder Bay, Ontario. George gave his occupation as a decorator.7 George and Gladys arrived in Liverpool on 23 December 1935 from Canada. They left Liverpool on 17 April 1936 for the return journey to Montreal in Canada. They travelled 3rd class both ways on the same ship Duchess of Atholl. They gave their address as Cavendish House, Normandy, Middlesbrough for both trips and George was listed as a decorator on the inbound journey to UK and a farmer on the outward journey to Canada. Maybe that was because Canada wanted farmers. Was this a mistake. His son told me his father was many things tool and die maker, artist, decorator but definately showed no farming experience, skills or aptitude.8 George died in 1984 in Ontario, Canada.9 George was buried in 1984 in Victoria Lawn Cemetery, St Catharines, Ontario, Canada, Section O Row 14.9
