Ann Vickers was born on 24 December 1810.1 She was baptised on 14 February 1811 in St Thomas, Southwark, London, England, her parents were John and Elizabeth Vickers.1 She married Josiah Greathead Strachan, son of James Strachan and Ann Ellison, on 1 July 1836 in St Mary, Newington, London, England, after a licence had been issued. The ceremony was witnessed by Jno Vickers and Elizabeth Vickers.2 In the census of 30 March 1851 at Epsom Road, Ewell, Surrey, England, she was listed as the daughter of Elizabeth Vickers an annuitant. The household consisted of her mother, husband and her sister Mary.3 Ann died in 1870 in Stroud, Gloucestershire, England.4
