     Sidney John Soady was born on 6 January 1858 in St Johns Wood, London, England.2,3,4 He was baptised on 11 August 1858 in St John, Hampstead, London, England, his parents were Henrietta Charlotte and John Williams Soady. His father was described as Esquire.4 Sidney attended Marleborough College 1868-1872 and graduated BA Clare College Cambridge in 1879.1 In the census of 3 April 1881 in Waterloo Road, Epsom, Surrey, England, he was listed as a lodger with Mary Ann Taylor who was listed as a lodging house keeper. Sidney was listed as an Annuitant Articled Clerk & BA.5 He married Emily Maude Cross in 1886 in Ormskirk, Yorkshire, England.6 Sidney was instituted Vicar in North Newbald in 1889 and remained their until 1904.1 Sidney was listed as the head of the family on the census of 5 April 1891 in The Vicarage, South Newbald, Yorkshire, England, Sidney was a clerk in holy orders living with his wife and three children. They had a cook, a nurse and a nurse housemaid living with the family.7 Sidney was listed as head of household in the census of 31 March 1901 in St Nicholas Vicarage, South Newbald, Yorkshire, England, Sidney was living with his wife and daughters and they had four borders and two servants.8 In 1904 he became Vicar of Elloughton in Yorkshire, retiring in 1934.1 Sidney was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1911 in Elloughton Vicarage, Elloughton, Yorkshire, England, Sidney was a clergyman living with his wife and two daughters in their eleven roomed home. They had a cook living with them.9 His wife Emily died on 1942 in Holderness, Yorkshire, England.10 Sidney died on 18 September 1945 in Sharrow, North Ferriby, Yorkshire, England, aged 87.11,12 The will of Sidney was proved on 21 November 1950 in London to Miss Kathleen Mary Soady and Violet Henrietta Ely.      Kathleen Mary Soady was born on 2 June 1890 in South Newbald, Yorkshire, England.1,2 She was the daughter of Sidney John Soady and Emily Maude Cross.1 In the census of 5 April 1891 in The Vicarage, South Newbald, Yorkshire, England, she was listed as the daughter of Sidney John Soady.3 In the census of 31 March 1901 in St Nicholas Vicarage, South Newbald, Yorkshire, England, she was listed as the daughter of Sidney John Soady.4 In the census of 2 April 1911 in Elloughton Vicarage, Elloughton, Yorkshire, England, she was listed as the daughter of Sidney John Soady.5 The will of Sidney was proved by Kathleen Mary Soady his daughter on 21 November 1950 with her sister Violet.
