In the census of 30 March 1851 at Porters Lodge, Four Halls, Ford, Durham, England, he was listed as the son of Thomas Bradford.3 In the census of 7 April 1861 in 42 Hendon Road, Bishopwearmouth, Sunderland, Durham, England, he was listed as the son of Thomas Bradford Thomas was a Gardener like his father.4 He married Maria Jane Greathead, daughter of John Greathead and Jane Bailes, on 10 September 1866 in Parish Church, Bishopwearmouth, Sunderland, Durham, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by John Greathead and Isabella Bradford. Thomas was a Gardener and give his address as 71 Hendon Street, his father Thomas was also a Gardener as was Maria's father John. Maria gave her address as 26 Emma Street.5,6 Thomas was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1871 in Harton, Durham, England, Thomas was a gardener living with his wife and children.7 Thomas was listed as the head of the family on the census of 3 April 1881 in 17 Straker Terrace, Harton, Durham, England, Thomas was a coal trimmer.8 Thomas was listed as the head of the family on the census of 5 April 1891 in 45 Henhope Road, Westoe, Durham, England, Thomas was a coal trimmer iving with his wife and three children.9 His wife Maria died on 1892 in South Shields, Durham, England.10 Thomas was listed as head of household in the census of 31 March 1901 in 64 Vine Street, South Shields, Durham, England, Thomas was a coal trimmer living with two of his children.11 In the census of 2 April 1911 in 326 Stanhope Road, South Shields, Durham, England, he was listed as the father in law of James Gibson Thomas was a coal trimmer.12 Thomas died on 6 July 1916 in 326 Stanhope Road, South Shields, Durham, England.13,14 The will of Thomas was proved on 22 July 1916 in Durham to James Gibson a coal trimmer and his wife Alice Maud, Thomas' daughter.      Thomas Bradford was born on 3 October 1881 in 17 Straker Terrace, Harton, Durham, England, his father was a coal trimmer.1,2,3 He was the son of Thomas Bradford and Maria Jane Greathead.1 In the census of 5 April 1891 in 45 Henhope Road, Westoe, Durham, England, he was listed as the son of Thomas Bradford Thomas was a scholar.4 In the census of 31 March 1901 in 64 Vine Street, South Shields, Durham, England, he was listed as the son of Thomas Bradford Thomas was a joiner.5 It is believed that Thomas emigrated to Canada on a work exchange project where he'd work, for free, 5 years on a farm in Canada and then would be allowed to stay in Canada and work in their trade after that. Thomas went to the Matchett farm in Manitoba where he met his future bride, Mary Emma.3 He married Mary Emma Matchett on 2 November 1914 in South Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, The ceremony was witnessed by Aleeta I Kerr and John William Bradford. Thomas was a builder.3
