     Eliza Dobson was born in 1869 in Hartlepool, Durham, England.1,2 She was the daughter of Thomas Dobson and Amy Acacter. She married Francis Hunter Lamb, son of Charles Lamb and Elizabeth Boagey, in 1888 in Hartlepool, Durham, England.3 In the census of 5 April 1891 in 71 Durham Street, Throstan, Hartlepool, Durham, England, she was listed as the daughter of Thomas Dobson Eliza's husband Francis was at home working on his fathers farm.4 Her husband Francis died on 10 August 1898 in Newcastle Infirmary, Newcastle upon Tyne, Durham, England, aged 35 Intestinal obstructuctor/operation shock; and was registered by Mary Young (cousin) in attendance giving address as 55 High Street, South Benwett, he was a farm servant.5 Eliza was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1911 in 35 Alston Street, Hartlepool, Durham, England, Eliza was living with her two sons in her three roomed home. She stated that she had five children, two of which were dead by 1911.6

     Thomas Dobson was born about 1824 in Selby, Yorkshire, England.1 He married Amy Acacter on 23 June 1851 in Selby, Yorkshire, England, Both their fathers name wer Thomas.1,2 Thomas was listed as the head of the family on the census of 5 April 1891 in 71 Durham Street, Throstan, Hartlepool, Durham, England, Thomas was a marine store dealer living with his wife, son William who was an engine fitter labourer, a grandchild called Annie Dobson aged 10. His daughter Eliza and her two small children were also staying with him, her hsband William Lamb was at home and working on his fathers farm.3 Thomas died in 1894 in Hartlepool, Durham, England.4

     Amy Acacter was born about 1831 in Selby, Yorkshire, England.1 She married Thomas Dobson on 23 June 1851 in Selby, Yorkshire, England, Both their fathers name wer Thomas.1,2 The marriage register lools like Amy's surname was Acaster but the records of both children say her maiden name was Acacter. In the census of 5 April 1891 in 71 Durham Street, Throstan, Hartlepool, Durham, England, she was listed as the wife of Thomas Dobson.3 Her husband Thomas died on 1894 in Hartlepool, Durham, England.4 Amy was listed as head of household in the census of 31 March 1901 in 71 Durham Street, Throstan, Hartlepool, Durham, England, Amy was living with her son William a general labourer and grandaughter Annie aged 20.5 Amy died in 1909 in Hartlepool, Durham, England.6

     Isabella Carolina Ferrier was born about 1815.1 She was the daughter of Alexander F Ferrier and Mary Clarke.1 Isabella died on 21 November 1836.1 Three headstones side by side a) left, b) centre c) right.
a) "Alexander F. Ferrier departed this life April 30th 1850 aged 18 months."
b) "To the dearly loved memory of Alexander Ferrier who fell asleep in Jesus July 10th 1867 aged 85 and of Mary his wife who departed this life August 4th 1845"
c) "The family burial place of Alexander Ferrier Dublin where in are deposited the mortal remains of his daughter Isabella Carolina who departed this life 21st November 1836 aged 21 years, also of his daughter Maria Ann Maxwell wife of George Watson M.D. who departed this life 19th September 1840 aged 26 years also of his daughter Margaret Burton who departed this life 17th October 1859 aged 37 also of his daughter Charlotte Augusta Mary born 17th October 1817 died in Christ 30th January 1891.2
