Sandra I Greathead née Leighton
     Sandra I Leighton was born on 21 June 1934 in Lowell, Massachusetts, USA, She was the daughter of William and Roberta Leighton.2,3 She married Frederick Kind Greathead, son of Frederick Kind Greathead and Thelma Chamberlain, in October 1959.1 Her husband Frederick died on 1 July 2010 in Lahey Clinic, Lowell, Massachusetts, USA, aged 75 He received his early education in the Billerica school system and was a graduate of Howe High School with the Class of 1952. He furthered his education at night while working at Raytheon, earning his Engineering Degree from Lowell Technological Institute in 1973. He continued working at Raytheon in South Lowell, as a Configuration Control Engineer, retiring in 1993. Frederick enlisted in the United States Naval Reserves on January 27, 1953 as a machinery repairman second class. He was honorably discharged on January 26th 1961. "Kenny" was an avid outdoors man and enjoyed hunting throughout New England and fresh water and salt water fishing. He was a crossing guard on Andover Street for the Reilly and Sullivan Schools for 15 years. Fred's life was his family, he was a devoted husband, and a dedicated father, and most of all he was so very proud of his grandchildren. Besides his loving wife, Sandra, he is survived by two sons, Frederick K. Greathead Jr. and his wife, Roxanne of Sharon, NH, and William L. Greathead and his wife Mary Beth of Pepperell; six precious grandchildren, Kenneth Greathead, Brittany Greathead, Christopher Greathead, Brian Greathead, Evan Greathead and Tyler Greathead; one great-granddaughter, Emma Greathead; two sisters, Glenna Nickerson of Raymond, NH, and Sheryl Campbell of Peabody and Warren NH; several nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Archie Diamontopolous. GREATHEAD -- Of Lowell, died Thursday, July 1, 2010, at Lahey Clinic, after a lengthy illness, Mr. Frederick K. "Kenny" Greathead, age 75 years. Husband of Sandra I. (Leighton) Greathead.4,5 Sandra died on 13 May 2020 in Leominster Hospital, Lowell, Massachusetts, USA, aged 85.3

     Frank Boyd Merriman was born on 28 April 1880 in Altrincham, Cheshire, England.2 He was the son of Frank Merriman and Mary Anne Boyd.1 He was baptised on 24 June 1880 in Knutsford, Cheshire, England.1 He married Eva Mary Freer in 1907 in Hastings, Sussex, England.1,3 Frank was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1911 in Blackcraig, St John's Road, Knutsford, Cheshire, England, Frank was a Barrister at law living with his wife, daughter, three servants and a visitor in their nine roomed home.4 His wife Eva died on 1919 in Kensington, London, England.5 He married Olive M Carver in 1920 in Bucklow, Cheshire, England.6 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Frank was listed as living at Ridgebourne, Kington, Herefordshire, England, with his wife Olive.      Gordon Holland Merriman was born on 10 December 1884 in Church House, Knutsford, Cheshire, England.1,2 He was the son of Frank Merriman and Mary Anne Boyd.1 He was baptised on 8 January 1885 in Knutsford, Cheshire, England.1 Gordon at Winchester College. He entered military service on 21 December 1907 as Second Lieutenant in 139th Battery Royal Field Artillery. Lieutenant on 17 Jamuary 1908 and later Captain.1 Gordon died on 18 May 1915 in Ypres, France, aged 30.1

     Nathaniel James Merriman Barry was born on 26 July 1883 in Grahamstown, Cape Town, South Africa.1 He was the son of Jacob Barry and Charlotte Merriman.1 He married Marian Boyd Merriman, daughter of Frank Merriman and Mary Anne Boyd, on 15 November 1913 in St Cross Church, Knutsford, Cheshire, England.1 Nathaniel died on 21 October 1917 aged 34.2 Nathaniel was buried in Dar es Salaam Cemetery, Upanga Road, Tanzania, South Africa, he was described asthe son of Sir Jacob and Lady Barry husband of Marian Boyd Barry, of The Lodge, Overbury, Tewkesbury, England. A Farmer of "Rustenberg", Naivasha, British East Africa. Born in Cape Province, South Africa. His grave reference is 1. A. 7.3

     Claude Anthony Merriman was born on 5 February 1889 in Altrincham, Cheshire, England.1 He was the son of Frank Merriman and Mary Anne Boyd. He was baptised on 2 March 1889 in Knutsford, Cheshire, England.2 Claude was educated at Winchester College and entered military service in 1908 as a sub-lieutenant RN.2 He married Alice J Gaskell in 1928 in Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire, England.3 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Claude was listed as living at Forton House, Andover, Hampshire, England, with his wife Alice. Claude was the Bursar at Winchester College, and a retired Royal Navy Captain living with his wife, two children and four servants.4 Claude died in 1952 in Andover, Hampshire, England.5
