They arrived in Melbourne in 1857 on the Lady Milton from Liverpool. Rose was listed as a housekeeper and she had a job in Bendigo waiting for her as a servant. Rose was 39, Jane17, Hugh 10, Sally 8, Charles 5 and Patrick 3 when they arrived.1 Rose died in 1886 in Bendigo, Victoria, Australia.1
