     Joan Margaret Cooper was born on 17 August 1922 in Sturry, Canterbury, Kent, England.1 She was the daughter of John Thomas Cooper and Winifred Penfold.1 She married Norman Stanley Smale on 22 March 1943.1 Her husband Norman died on 30 October 1976 in Maidstone, Kent, England, aged 62.1 Joan died on 1 September 2006 aged 84.1

     Charles Ivory was baptised on 30 October 1841 in Newington, Kent, England.1 He married Olive Matilda Rossiter in 1864 in Milton, Kent, England.1,2 Charles was listed as the head of the family on the census of 5 April 1891 in Ham Farm, Faversham, Kent, England, Charles was a brickfield foreman living with his wife and son Charles.3 His wife Olive died on 18 July 1891 in Ham Farm, Faversham, Kent, England.4,5 Charles died in 1923 in Faversham, Kent, England.6

     Olive Matilda Rossiter was born in 1843 in Milton, Kent, England.1,2 She married Charles Ivory in 1864 in Milton, Kent, England.1,3 In the census of 5 April 1891 in Ham Farm, Faversham, Kent, England, she was listed as the wife of Charles Ivory.4 Olive died on 18 July 1891 in Ham Farm, Faversham, Kent, England.5,6 The will of Olive was proved on 15 August 1891 in Canterbury to Charles Ivory his son a brickfield foreman. Her estate was valued at £165 8s2d.6

     Harry John Ivory Rossiter was born in 1893 in Rainham, Kent, England.1,2 He was the son of William James Ivory Rossiter and Minnie Rose Gilbert.1 Sometimes Harry was known under the surname of Ivory. In the census of 31 March 1901 in The Street, Halstow, Kent, England, he was listed as the son of William James Ivory Ivory.3 In the census of 2 April 1911 in Pawley Cottage, Ospringe, Faversham, Kent, England, he was listed as the son of Raynard John Cooper Harry was a a shop assistant.4
