In the census of 2 April 1871 in The Plump, East Dean, Gloucestershire, England, she was listed as the daughter of Eliza Waite.4 She married George Henry Pook, son of John Pook and Susanna Stapling, on 24 September 1887 in St Marks Church, Tollington Park, Islington, London, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by John Pook and Leah Waite. George was a hairdresser, he and Jane both gave their address as 53 Tollington Park.5 Her husband George died on 8 December 1895 in Denver, Colorado, USA, aged 44.6 In the census of 31 March 1901 in 92 New Bond Street, St George Hanover Square, London, England, she was listed as the servant she was listed as a domestic housekeeper to James Gregg, her children Walter and Ethel were with her.7 In the census of 2 April 1911 in 8 Hinde Street, Marylebone, London, England, she was listed as a housekeeper with 16 rooms living with two servants. Maybe the owners of the house were away?8 Jane died in 1946 in Bromley, Kent, England.9
