     Charles Edmund Greathed Parry Okeden was born about 1888.1 He was the son of Uvedale Edward Parry Okeden and Carolina Susan Hambro.1 He married Mary Burgess Connop in 1914 in Hollingbourn, Kent, England.1,2 Charles appeared in the Edinburgh Gazette on 18 September 1918 I stated Rev. Charles Edmund Greathed Parry - Okeden, A.C.D. For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty in assisting in the organisation of stretcher-bearers and collection of wounded, and carrying forward hot food to the troops. He worked unceasingly and never spared himself.3 He died in 1944 Charles was awarded an MC.1
