Ann Greathead née Thomas
     Ann Thomas was born on 17 July 1905 in Devils Bridge, Arra, Wales.1,2,3 She married Andrew Greathead, son of Samuel F Greathead and Elizabeth Hyde, in 1923 in Pontypridd, Glamorganshire, Wales.4 The picture of Ann was taken in early 1920's (aged about 20) outside their Corn Merchants N.B. name over door. Andrew, her husband became was a preacher and poet.1 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Ann was listed as living at 45 Amos Hill, Rhonda, Glamorganshire, Wales with her husband Andrew. Andrew was a baker salesman living with his wife and children.5 Her husband Andrew died on 18 March 1964 in Porth Hospital, Pontypridd, Glamorganshire, Wales, aged 76 His usual address was 98 Tylacelyn Road, Penygraig, Rhondda, Glamorgan.6,7 Ann died in July 1987 in Pontypridd, Glamorganshire, Wales.8

He was baptised on 5 June 1859 in St Catherine, Crook, Durham, England.5 In the census of 7 April 1861 in Auckland, Durham, England, he was listed as aged 3.6 In the census of 7 April 1861 in East Side, Hope Street, Crook, Durham, England, he was listed as the son of George Greathead.7 In the census of 2 April 1871 in Kings Arms, Hope Street, Crook, Durham, England, he was listed as the son of George Greathead.8 He married Sarah Jane Davis in 1877 in Auckland, Durham, England.9 John was listed as the head of the family on the census of 3 April 1881 in 33 Church Hill, Helmington Row, Auckland, Durham, England, John was a cabinet maker.10 John was listed as the head of the family of on the census of 5 April 1891 in Church Hill, Helmington Row, Auckland, Durham, England, John was a small coal runner.11 John was listed as head of household in the census of 31 March 1901 at 25 North Terrace, Crook, Durham, England, John was a coke oven fitter.2 John was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1911 in Foundry Fields, Auckland, Durham, England, John was a coke yard labourer living with his wife and daughter Margaret.
