     Frances Brooker was born about 1838 in Marylebone, London, England.1,3 She was the daughter of John Brooker and Mary Ann ...1,2 She married Charles Turmaine, son of Henry Turmaine and Jane Watkins, on 1 December 1866 in Marylebone, London, England.1,4,5 In the census of 2 April 1871 in 5a Conduit Mews, Paddington, London, England, she was listed as the wife of Charles Turmaine.6 In the census of 3 April 1881 in 5 Conduit Mews, Paddington, London, England, she was listed as the wife of Charles Turmaine Charles was working as an auxiliary letter carrier, his wife Frances was a charwoman.7 Her husband Charles died on 1882 in West Ham, London, England.8,1 In the census of 5 April 1891 in Plinnion Place, Paddington, London, England, she was listed as the servant working as a cook for Joseph and Maria White.9 In the census of 31 March 1901 in 1 Union Place, Paddington, London, England, she was listed as the servant working as a charwoman.10 She died in 1923 in Paddington, London, England.11

     Frances Mary Turmaine was born on 19 February 1845 in Isle of Thanet, Kent, England, On her birth certificate there was no father's name. Her birth was registered by Edward Woolton, Master of Occupiers Workhouse, Minster.1,2 She was the daughter of Catherine Turmaine. Frances was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1871 in 1 Hunters Buildings, Margate, Kent, England, Frances was a laundress and was unmarried living with her two daughters who were both listed as scholars.3
