Anne was listed as the head of the family of on the census of 6 June 1841 in Upper Gloucester Street, Clerkenwell, London, England, Ann was a teacher.3 Anne was listed as head of household in the census of 30 March 1851 at Upper Gloucester Road, Clerkenwell, London, England, Ann was a Teacher of Music living with her sisters Mary and Rebecca and their Aunt Sarah.4 Anne was listed as the head of the family of on the census of 7 April 1861 in 4 Upper Gloucester Street, Clerkenwell, London, England, Ann was a teacher of music.5 Anne was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1871 in 250 Liverpool Road, Islington, London, England, Ann was an annuitant.6 Anne's sister Mary died on 3 March 1871. She received probate on 27 May 1871 at the Probate Register.7 Anne's sister Rebecca died on 4 September 1873. She received probate on 23 March 1874.7 Anne died on 7 August 1881 in Lydikan Castle, St Nicholas, County Galway, Ireland, aged 76 She was buried by W Stephens the Curate.8,9,10,7 The will of Anne was proved on 19 January 1882 at Principal Registry by Joseph John Greated, her nephew and sole Executor. her effects was valued at £90.7

     Rebecca Greated was born about 1806 in London, England. She was the daughter of Joseph Greated and Rebecca Catlin. In the census of 6 June 1841 in Upper Gloucester Street, Clerkenwell, London, England, she was listed as the sister of Anne Greated Rebecca was a teacher.1 The monthly Missionary Magazine and Chronicle listed contributions to the London Missionary Society, Lower Street, Islington received from individuals and through the auxiliaries. The issues for 1850 covered contributions received from 1 November 1849 to 31 October 1850. Rebecca is listed as collecting a guinea from both Mr and Mrs Austin, one pound from Miss Fraser, ten shillings from Mrs Turner, five shillings from Miss Turner, seven shillings and six pence each from Mrs Elliott and Mrs Pugh and several smaller sums totalling one pound four shillings and seven pence.2 In the census of 30 March 1851 at Upper Gloucester Road, Clerkenwell, London, England, she was listed as the sister of Anne Greated Rebecca was a teacher living with her sisters Mary and Ann and their Aunt Sarah.3 In the census of 7 April 1861 in 4 Upper Gloucester Street, Clerkenwell, London, England, she was listed as the sister of Anne Greated Ann was a teacher of music.4 In the census of 2 April 1871 in 250 Liverpool Road, Islington, London, England, she was listed as the sister of Anne Greated Rebecca was an annuitant.5 Rebecca died on 4 September 1873 in 6 Canonbury Park, Islington, London, England.6,7 The will of Rebecca was proved on 23 March 1874 at the Principal Register to her spinster sister Ann of the same address.      Rebecca Catlin was born about 1777.1 She was the daughter of ... Catlin. She married Joseph Greated, son of Joseph Greated and Ann Bray, on 21 February 1804 in St Andrew, Holborn, London, England, after a licence had been issued. They were married by John Lake. The ceremony was witnessed by John and Sarah Catlin. Joseph was from Ely Place and Rebecca was from St Sepulchre, London.2,3,4,5,6 Rebecca died on 27 March 1829 She is listed as living in Islington.7 Rebecca was buried on 5 April 1829 in St Mary the Virgin, Church Walk, Hayes, Middlesex, England, with her husband.7,8 There is a white marble memorial with the bust of Rev Charles Manning on top who was the vicar of St Mary the Virgin in Hayes. His wife Elizabeth was the daughter of the previous vicar. On this memorial are details about the deaths of many of the Greated family, it can be found inside the church, close to the North door.7,9

     Mary Eleanor Thomas was born on 28 February 1876 in Clerkenwell, London, England.1 She was the daughter of Edward Thomas and Jessie Greated.2 In the census of 3 April 1881 in 14 Alma Road, Islington, London, England, she was listed as the daughter of Edward Thomas.3 In the census of 5 April 1891 in 134 Hornsey Road, Islington, London, England, she was listed as the daughter of Edward Thomas.4 In the census of 31 March 1901 in 10 Digby Road, Stoke Newington, London, England, she was listed as the niece of William Thomas a retired dairyman and his children, her sister Clara was also staying there.5 Mary was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1911 in 82 Marlborough Road, Bowes Park, Wood Green, London, England, she was living with her sister Clara living on private means.6 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register she was listed as living at 19 Chestnut Glen, Dagenham, Hornchurch, Essex, England, Siblings Clara and Mary were living together.7 Mary died on 16 August 1950 in 19 Chestnut Glen, Romford, Essex, England, aged 74.8,9 Mary was buried on 16 August 1950 in Camden, London, England, five others are buried in the grave.10 Her estate was probated on 2 October 1950 Administration papers were issued to her sister Clara Louisa Thomas, also a spinster. Robert Harris Greathed
     Robert Harris Greathed was born on 11 November 1823 Robert was the fourth son.1,2 He was the son of Edward Harris and Mary Elizabeth Glyn. Robert was at Eton College in 1838.3 In the census of 6 June 1841 in Hampton Court Green, Hampton Court, Surrey, England, he was listed as the son of Mary Elizabeth Greathed.4 Robert attended Haileybury College 1842-44.5 Robert entered the Bengal Civil Service in 1845. He arrived in India the same year, and in October was appointed an Assistant under the Commissioner of the Meerut Division. In December 1846 he was appointed an Assistant under the Deputy Commissioner of the Cis-Sutlej Teritories and he remained in that employment until January 1850 when he was appointed Settlement Officer in the Rechna Doab.2 Robert died on 17 August 1851 in Simla, India, aged 27.6,7 Robert was buried in 1851 in Simla, India, A tablet was erected in Simla Church by a few friends as a mark of their affection and esteem for him when alive and of their sincere sorrow at the loss of one so universally and deservedly beloved.8 Robert left a will on 10 December 1864 in the Principal Registry by his brother William Wilberforce Harris Greathed of Hertford Street, Park Lane, who was a Bewet Lieutenant Colonel in the Army. His effects were valued at under £6,000.9 There is a monument to Robert in Hampreston Church.10

     John O'Hagan was born in 1819.1 He married Mary Ann Gallagher in Ireland. John and Mary and their two children Anne and John arrived in Australia in July 1863 on board the ship the Young Australia. They settled in Maryborough in 1865 staying there for 3 years.2 John died on 25 May 1886.1

     Mary Ann Gallagher was born in 1808.1 She married John O'Hagan in Ireland. John and Mary and their two children Anne and John arrived in Australia in July 1863 on board the ship the Young Australia. They settled in Maryborough in 1865 staying there for 3 years.2 Mary died on 1 April 1881.1
