Failing health caused her to retire from teaching permanently in 1943 and to move out of her downtown house into the Fulton House, under the care of Mrs. Vera James.      Sarah Ann Baldock was born on 12 August 1836 in Challock, Kent, England.¹ She was the daughter of John Meppan Baldock and Eliza Richards.¹ John and Eliza together with their daughter Sarah arrived in New Souh Wales, Australia abourd "Una" in 1849.¹ She married John Kelso, son of John Kelso and Catherine Bowes, on 21 January 1860 in Largs, New South Wales, Australia.¹ She died on 30 June 1921 in East Hills, New South Wales, Australia, aged 84.¹ She was buried in St Saviours, Punchbowl, New South Wales, Australia, Sarah is buried with her husband John.¹
