     John Allison was born in 1868 in Bishop Auckland, Durham, England.1,2 He married Mary Margaretta Greathead, daughter of Middleton Greathead and Margaretta Tate, in 1901 in Darlington, Durham, England.3 John was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1911 in 1 Woodlands Terrace, Darlington, Durham, England, John was a shopkeeper living with his wife in a six room dwelling. They had a Sarah Smith age 32 as a general domestic servant.4 His wife Mary died on 1921 in Darlington, Durham, England.5

     William K Barnes married Frances Greathead on 8 February 1899 in McGregor, Clayton County, Iowa, USA, There was and entry of the marriage of William and Frances in the Alexandria Citizen on Thursday 9 February 1899, page 5, column 2.

Mr. William K. Barnes, cashier of the Douglas County Bank and Miss Frances Greathead, formerly principal of the Alexandria high school, were married yesterday morning at the home of the bride at McGregor, Iowa. Their many friends will look for their early return to Alexandria and wish them all the joy possible.1
