     Sarah Whitelock was baptised on 18 July 1742 in Downholme, Yorkshire, England.2 She was the daughter of Matthew Whitelock and Ruth Ellerton.2 She married Peter Whitelock, son of Christopher Whitelock and Catherine Ellerton, on 6 April 1767 in Hipswell, Yorkshire, England.1 She witnessed the marriage of Christopher Whitelock and Elizabeth Whitelock on 21 April 1767 in Downholme, Yorkshire, England.3 Her husband Peter died on 1 October 1778 in Thorp House, Downholme, Yorkshire, England, aged 40 from an inflamed throat. This is believed to be scaletina or scarlet fever of which there were epidemics in 1778 and 1788.2,4 Sarah did not leave a will. Administration papers were issued on 31 May 1779 to his widow Sarah. Peter was described as a Yeoman and late of Thorpe in the Chapelry of Hudswell.2 Sarah died on 12 February 1825 in Downholme, Yorkshire, England, aged 82.2 Sarah was buried on 16 February 1825 in St Michael and All Angels, Downholme, Yorkshire, England, The table tomb states that Peter and Sarah were buried together with their daughter Sarah.2,5,4 The table tomb states that Peter and Sarah were buried together with their daughter Sarah.2

     Sarah Whitelock was baptised on 12 April 1778 in Hudswell, Yorkshire, England.1,2 She was the daughter of Peter Whitelock and Sarah Whitelock. Sarah died in 1778 in Yorkshire, England.3 Sarah was buried on 30 April 1778 in St Michael and All Angels, Downholme, Yorkshire, England, with her parents and died in infancy.3,4 The table tomb states that Peter and Sarah were buried together with their daughter Sarah.3

     Peter Whitelock Greathead was baptised on 28 June 1797 in Marske, Yorkshire, England.3,2,4 He was the son of Thomas Greathead and Ruth Whitelock. He married Elizabeth Yarker, daughter of Michael Yarker and Eleanor Fidler, on 10 May 1830 in Leyburn, Richmond, Yorkshire, England.3,1,2 Peter was an overseer of the poor in Marrick, to the Poor Law Commission.5 Peter was listed as the head of the family on the census of 6 June 1841 in Stutton Filpot, Marske, Yorkshire, England, Peter was a farmer.6 His wife Elizabeth died on 16 February 1845 in Marske, Richmond, Yorkshire, England.7 Peter was listed as head of household in the census of 30 March 1851 at Telfit, Marske, Yorkshire, England, Peter was a farmer with 240 acres of land.8 Peter died in 1857 in Richmond, Yorkshire, England.9,1 Peter was buried in St Edmund, Marske, Yorkshire, England, with their spouse and two sons Peter and Thomas both aged two.10,11,12

     Elizabeth Yarker was born about 1801.4 She was the daughter of Michael Yarker and Eleanor Fidler. She married Peter Whitelock Greathead, son of Thomas Greathead and Ruth Whitelock, on 10 May 1830 in Leyburn, Richmond, Yorkshire, England.1,2,3 In the census of 6 June 1841 in Stutton Filpot, Marske, Yorkshire, England, she was listed as the wife of Peter Whitelock Greathead.5 Elizabeth died on 16 February 1845 in Marske, Richmond, Yorkshire, England.6 Her death was registered on 18 February 1845 by Sarah Thairlwall in attendance in the Richmond Register Office. The cause of her death was Apoplexy. Elizabeth was buried in St Edmund, Marske, Yorkshire, England, with their spouse and two sons Peter and Thomas both aged two.7,8,9

James died in 1860.1 He was buried on 4 October 1860 in White Hills Cemetery, Baptist Section, Sandhurst, Victoria, Australia, He was buried in same grave as three other brothers who died with 2½ months of each other in 1860. William had scarlet fever which no doubt may have been the cause of the other deaths.

He married Elizabeth Whitelock, daughter of Matthew Whitelock and Elizabeth Hutchinson, on 22 August 1839 in Downholme Parish Church, Downholme, Richmond, Yorkshire, England, The ceremony was witnessed by James Hutchinson, Ann Whitelock and Ruth Whitelock. It took place after Richard took out a licence. He described himself as a Farmer from Scot Willoughby in the County of Lincoln. Elizabeth received £500 upon marriage from her father.3 Richard was listed as the head of the family on the census of 6 June 1841 in Scott Willoughby, Lincolnshire, England, Richard was a farmer living with his wife.4 Richard died on 1 January 1847 in Scott Willoughby, Lincolnshire, England, aged 47.5,6 Richard was buried on 7 January 1847 in St Nicholas, Walcot by Folkingham, Lincolnshire, England.7,6
